A huge field of 3,299 took part in the Monster Series #03-H: $150K Gtd 8-Max PKO on Monster Series Day 1 and created a guarantee-busting prize pool of $173,197. It was Brazil’s Ineedcagari who got their hands on the lion’s share of this prize money, namely the $10,050 top prize and an additional $8,469 from the bounty prize pool.
The Brazilian defeated “kuzja06” of Russia heads-up to secure the title with the Russian padding their own bankroll with a prize made up of $10,032 from the main prize pool and $1,372 worth of bounties.
Everyone at the eight handed final table won more than $1,300 for their $55 investment, with bounties included, but we have to single out “LUCK4LUCK” of Estonia for the fact they won $1,626 from the bounty prize pool with only our worthy champion getting their hands on more scalps.

One of the largest prizes of Monster Series Day 1 came in the $55 buy-in Monster Series #02-H: $100K Gtd 8-Max Deepstack event that saw a field of 2,592 compete for a slice of the $129,600 prize pool. This was shared among the top 344 finishers.
Each of the eight finalists won at least $1,321 and the top two finishers each turned their initial investments into a five-figure prize. Third placed “NiniGehtInsKino” almost won five figures, their prize weighed in at $9,534.
Second place went to Brazil’s “moonrock99” who collected $14,819 for their impressive run. The player of the hour, however, was Germany’s “OhhYeahYeah” who was probably making similar noises to their username when they realised they had secured a $20,947 payout.

Ineedcagari helped themselves to another $10,858 by taking down their second event of Monster Series Day 1, the Monster Series #01-H: $75K Gtd 8-Max Grind tournament.
The tournament ended in a heads-up deal with Ineedcagari banking $10,858 and the runner-up, “faby.r” of Colombia, walking away with $9,857 for a $33 buy-in, which is impressive to say the least. The big prizes were made possible by 2,502 players turning out in force and creating a $75,060 prize pool.
All but one of the finalists won at least $1,200 for their effort with “barilyn monroe” winning $765 for their eighth place exit. Others who navigated their way to the final were “tryingyourluck”, “AvanzaBank”, “bandolero420”, “TAVITOPOKER” and “Ajichay”, the latter scooping $5,522 for their third place finish.
