Russia’s “andstar555” got off to a flying start in the Christmas Freeze series by taking down the Christmas Freeze #02-HR: $300K Gtd PKO event for a combined score worth $47,349.
Andstar555 came out on top of a field of 577 entrants who each paid $530 for the chance to become a Christmas Freeze champion. The top three finishers netted at least five-figures from the main prize pool. They were runner-up “Sponix92” and “Stucold92” both of the United Kingdom.
Fourth-placed “Fish2050” from Sri Lanka also won more than $10,000 when bounties were included. The Sri Lankan banked $9,090 from the main prize pool, an impressive sum boosted by $3,367 worth of bounty payments.

The Christmas Freeze #02-H: $250K Gtd PKO attracted a huge field of 2,154 players. Some 280 players shared the $250,000 prize pool, with Malta’s “z-boooo” walking away with the lion’s share of the money.
The Malta-based pro defeated “ACHSO800” of Germany heads-up to secure the title. This victory was worth $22,326 plus $10,92 worth of bounties, while the Germany secured $15,734 plus $1,490 from the bounty prize pool for their runner-up finish/
It was Brazil’s “BateBicoPLZ” who was the only other player to net five-figures, namely $10,159 from the main prize pool and $5,462 worth of bounty payments collected in their way to a third-place finish.

Christmas Freeze #01-HR: $200K Gtd was a standard no-limit hold’em freezeout with no bounty element, making it one of the purest forms of tournament poker. A field of 197 players each paid $1,050 and 32 of those starters made it into the money places.
The top five finishers multiplied their initial buy-in 10 times to give their bankroll’s a nice boost in time for the rest of the Christmas Freeze series. “Psycoelios” of Switzerland saw their tournament end in fifth-place for $11,000 with fourth-place finisher “Gl4diat0r” walking away with $15,600.
Third-place and $21,100 headed to the Dominican Republic where “LLinusLLoses” lives. That elimination left “blackaces93” and “rafaelmoraesgm” to lock horns heads-up for the title. It was the latter who emerged victorious to scoop $40,780 leaving blackaces93 to collect $29,600.
