The Las Vegas Poker Party promotion is in full swing at partypoker and plenty of you have already got your hands on a $12,000 package and will be jetting off to “Sin City” this summer to seek fame and fortune.
Part of the deal is that you can do as you wish with the $12,000 you win, but if you were wondering which casinos you should visit if you do head to Las Vegas with partypoker, we have compiled a shortlist of five Las Vegas casinos you simply must visit.
The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino
Located on 3700 W Flamingo Rd, The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino has to be high on your list of casinos to visit if not only because it is where the World Series of Poker is held each year. Stop off during the WSOP and you’ll get to see dozens of the world’s elite poker players riffling chips and attempting to get their hands, or should that be wrists, on a coveted WSOP bracelet.
Trust us when we say that seeing the huge poker room full is something to behold. Also, try make it to the casino during the bracelet ceremonies because they can be quite magical as you get to witness first hand someone’s dreams come true.
While The Rio is the current home of the WSOP, Binion’s is where it all started. Located in Downtown Las Vegas, Binion’s may not have the glitz and glamour of the casinos on The Strip, but what it lacks in that department it sure makes up for with history. This is where the original high stakes cash games took place and you can feel the history of poker seeping through the walls. Make sure you visit the room where Chris Moneymaker won the 2003 WSOP Main Event and ignited the poker boom, you will not believe how small and quaint it is, yet what happened there was so powerful for the game.
The Golden Nugget is another casino located in Downtown Las Vegas steeped in history. If you were a fan of the now-defunct TV series High Stakes Poker, you will know that several episodes were filmed in this iconic casino. The Golden Nugget usually runs a low buy-in tournament series while the WSOP is in town, so if you’re a player in addition to a fan, this could be the casino to head to first.
Those of you who want to catch a glimpse of some of the bets cash game players in the world should head to Bellagio where you will find the famous Bobby’s Room. Although the room is private due to the huge stakes played for, you’ll often be able to rub shoulders with poker’s elite when they are on a break.
Oh, you may have heard that the casino also has some pretty amazing fountains, too, if that’s your bag. Joking aside, the entire complex is beautiful and you’ll probably stood with your mouth wide open when you see the scale of the place for the first time.
Aria Las Vegas
No Las Vegas casino list would be complete without mentioning the Aria. This is where some massive tournaments, here’s looking at you $250,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl, take place throughout the year so expect to see some genuine stars of the game frequenting one of the more modern venues on the Las Vegas Strip.
