O’Dwyer Wins $25K Super High Roller

Steve O’Dwyer increased his live poker tournament winnings to $30,788,478 and added yet another title to his already impressive poker CV when he triumphed in the $25K Super High Roller event at the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS North Cyprus festival.
Only four players received prize money due to the compact field, Frenchman Johan Guilbert being the first of that quartet to scoop some cash. Guilbert banked $109,480, capping off a superb month that saw him win more than $1.06 million in Cyprus events run by our friends, PokerGO.
Laszlo Bujtas locked in the sixth six-figure score of his live career when he fell in third for $140,760. The Hungarian’s untimely demise left O’Dwyer heads-up with Viktor Ustimov. The heads-up duo did not strike a deal despite there being a $93,840 difference in prize money. This meant O’Dwyer got his hands on $312,800 when he defeated his Russian opponent, leaving Ustiov to console himself with a still very respectable $218,960.
