$46,805 and €3,598 seized across dotcom and doteu networks

partypoker has released details of the latest round of ‘bot’ account closures made across both its global dotcom and shared liquidity doteu licenses.

Forty-two accounts were closed in May 2019, with 33 (78.6%) coming from the poker room’s dotcom market and a further nine (21.4%) belonging to its ring-fenced doteu site that serves players from France and Spain.

partypoker seized a subsequent $46,805 and €3,598 in player balances over the month, and the site is currently processing refunds from the entire pool of forfeited balances.

Direct player reports accounted for five of the 33 dotcom closures (15.2%), with three accounts shut on the doteu network also owing to player diligence (33.3%).

The latest monthly closures represent a 55.3% fall on the previous period (vs. 94), reflecting the studious work of the site’s Poker Fraud Team in actively purging the site of bot accounts.

partypoker encourages players to continue reporting all suspicious activity at its tables, by emailing reports@partypoker.com. partypoker promises to investigate all incidents reported.

The poker room continues to invest in resources aimed at safeguarding the safety of its players, spearheaded by a specialist Poker Fraud Team comprising a collection of former poker professionals whose duty is to investigate suspicious activity and aid partypoker in ridding the site of unscrupulous accounts.

The site pledges to update players on the account closures made every month.
