Polish player sets sights on $400NL cash game level
partypoker is delighted to welcome Monika “HeyMonia” Zukowicz to its new Team Online.
The personable Pole was truly tailor-made for the Twitch platform, often putting on highly entertaining streaming sessions in which she openly shares her poker experience, offering practical advice and provoking discussion in the process.
Whilst studying, the pharmaceutical student became infected with the poker bug after winning a live freeroll – only learning the rules moments before taking to the felt. Instantly hooked, Monika drew inspiration from a friend who had forged a successful poker career and set about turning a hobby into something a little more serious.
Now living in Malta, Monika successfully juggles time on the tables around her studies, predominately focused on cash games.
Poker has allowed the 27-year-old to travel the world playing the games she loves, cashing in high profile tournaments such as the Irish Poker Open and the MPN Poker Tour. She has set her sights on moving up to the $400NL cash game limits, and is currently eyeing her first five-figure live tournament score.
Monika said, “I feel absolutely delighted and thrilled to become a part of the official Team Online! I have been representing partypoker as a streamer for the last few months. Ever since we have signed our first contract I have been working hard to grow as a person and as a player to represent partypoker to the best of my ability. Today, I couldn’t be happier to continue this journey on the new, higher level and I am truly honoured to be part of the team!”
Monika joins Matt Staples, Hristivoje “ALLinPav” Pavlovic, Travis “dramaticdegen” Darroch, Patrick “XxXMLGPROXxX” Tardif , Alan “hotted89” Widmann, Ryan “RSchoonbaert” Schoonbaert, Courtney “courtiebee” Gee and Steven “DWstevie” Kok in the new Team Online stable
The creation of the team forms part of a wider company strategy earmarked for the following weeks and months with the focus on streaming quality, engaging content across partypoker’s main Twitch channel. Just recently, the site announced a partnership with “The Thirst Lounge,” a Twitch streaming channel launched in 2016 by high stakes player, Bill Perkins that encourages viewers to “live their best life.”
Plans also include a new partypoker high stakes cash game that will see some of the biggest names in poker invited to trade blows on the site’s virtual cash game tables, streamed live.
In addition, various current members of Team partypoker including Fedor Holz, Patrick Leonard and Ludovic Geilich will alternate in hosting partypoker Twitch streaming sessions, focusing on a range of poker topics.
Over the coming days, partypoker will be unveiling further new additions to Team Online.
