Popular Canadian one of early poker Twitch streamers
partypoker is delighted to welcome Twitch streaming ace, Kevin Martin to its ranks of Team Online.
An established name in the streaming world, Martin started out as a radio presenter before turning his hand to professional poker full time in 2014. Barely a year later Martin discovered the Twitch platform, proving to be the launch pad for his poker journey.
Interspersed with a win in the Canadian version of reality TV show ‘Big Brother’, Martin has since gone on to amass a dedicated following that now stands over 80,000-strong thanks to his energetic on-screen demeanour, bolstered by a string of impressive tournament results.
Martin joins fellow countrymen Matt Staples, Patrick Tardif, Travis Darroch and Ryan Schoonbaert on the team, with Matt’s elder brother and streaming pioneer, Jaime set to become the latest member this Saturday, May 4, 2019.
The creation of Team Online forms part of a wider company strategy earmarked for the following weeks and months with the focus on streaming quality, engaging content across partypoker’s main Twitch channel. In February 2019, the site announced a partnership with “The Thirst Lounge,” a Twitch streaming channel launched in 2016 by high stakes player, Bill Perkins that encourages viewers to “live their best life.”
Plans also include a new partypoker high stakes cash game that will see some of the biggest names in poker invited to trade blows on the site’s virtual cash game tables, streamed live.
In addition, various current members of Team partypoker including Fedor Holz, Patrick Leonard and Ludovic Geilich will alternate in hosting partypoker Twitch streaming sessions, focusing on a range of poker topics.
Kevin Martin’s Twitch account can be found at Twitch.tv/KevinMartin and he will playing at the online tables as “KevinMartin”.
