June 7 saw the High Roller Club kick off in spectacular style. This new series runs from June 7 to July 16 and sees some massive events take place every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Players in the High Roller Club events earn leaderboard points for reaching the money places, with the top 20 points earners winning a share of $100,000.

You can watch all the action, with cards-up and commentary, on the partypoker Twitch channel.

The opening night of this super series saw some gigantic prizes awarded. Here’s a selection of some of those major scores.

High Roller Club: Super High Roller

Fifty players turned out of the $25,500 Super High Roller and it was Wiktor Malinowski who was the last man standing. Malinowski found himself heads-up against another high roller specialist in Steve O’Dwyer.

The final hand saw Malinowski min-raise to 1,000,000 then call when O’Dwyer shoved for 14,229,072 in total. It was 8♣ 8♥ for Malinowski and A♥ J♦ for O’Dwyer. The 4♦ 4♠ 2♦ flop kept Malinowksi in front with the 8♦ turn locking up the hand. The inconsequential 2♥ river completed the board and handed Malinowski the title and the $443,750 top prize.

Earlier at the final table, Matthias Eibinger and Justin Bonomo were the first casualties. Bonomo recently won big in the Super High Roller Bowl but had to make do with sixth place this time around.

Nick Schulman was the fifth-place finisher before Matthew Wood crashed out in fourth for $121,875, the tournament’s first six-figure prize. Giuseppe Ladisernia was the penultimate bustee, he banked $190,625.

High Roller Club: The Big Game $1M Gtd

The $1M Big Game was another event on the High Roller Club schedule and what an event it was.

Malinowski reached another final table, but this one ended in an eighth-place finish for $23,000. Ali Imsirovic and Luke Reeves were the next to fall. They scooped scores of $31,000 and $42,000 respectively.

The next to players to lose their chips were Rok Gostisa and Omar Alomar. They saw their bankrolls swell by $55,000 and $78,000, the latter being the last prize not to be more than $100,000.

Super High Roller specialist Daniel Dvoress saw his tournament end in third place, a finish worth $105,000. This set up a heads-up battle between Teun Mulder and Thomas Muehloecker. Either player would have made a worthy champion but the nature of tournament poker means only one of them could claim that title.

That player was Muehloecker. He secured the $203,900 top prize and resigned Mulder to a $148,000 consolation prize.

High Roller Club: Knockout $200K Gtd

The $200,000 guaranteed Knockout was yet another star-studded affair, as you’d expect from a $2,100 buy-in tournament. It ended in an Italian one-two and was a real clash of two poker titans.

The Italian duo was Mustapha Kanit and Dario Sammartino. Both locked up more than $20,300 from the main prize pool and they locked horns for a massive bounty payment. Sammartino emerged from the battle unscathed and with a $33,953 bounty prize in tow, leaving Kanit to win an $8,015 bounty payment.

Shout out to the six other finalists who included Dimitar Danchev, Ivan Luca, Fedor Holz, and Lauren Roberts.
