The final day’s action started with 164 players in the hunt for the title, including our very own Joao Simao. Our Brazilian hero ran out of steam just short of the final two tables, busting in 13th for a combined prize weighing in at $5,220.

Each of the seven finalists locked in a five-figure payout when bounties payments were included.

Two British players, Daniel Hopkins and Stephen Burt, were the first final table casualties. They saw their partypoker bankrolls swell by $10,739 and $14,717 respectively. Simao’s fellow Brazilian Pedro Cavalieri ran out of steam in fifth ($16,579) before the first if two Bulgarian finalists, Georgi Sandev, bowed out in fourth, a finish worth $21,459.

Third place and $26,123 went to Shuxrat Salixov, who calls Uzbekistan home. Salixov’s exit left Frank heads-up against Vladislav Donchev. Frank has eliminated 13 players on his way to heads-up so had a substantial bounty on his head. Frank secured the bounty on Donchev and his own scalp, resulting in his $35,814 first-place prize getting boosted by a cool $40,398. That is a $76,212 payday from a $530 buy-in. Donchev walked away with $41,284 in total.
