MIXED GAME FINAL_107

That is it! It is all over folks. The dust has settled at the Playboy Club London in Mayfair and it is Andy Frankenberger who has emerged victorious and is the newly crowned PartyPoker Premier League Mixed Game Champion!

Frankenberger started the final table joint last in chips but he never let that bother him and he stuck to doing what he does best, bamboozling his opponents and picking up chips. Tony G is always talking about having pride, heart and commitment and Frankenberger has that in excess, that is for sure!

First to head for the rail was the November Nine member Matt Giannetti when his could not catch up to the pocket jacks of Andrew Feldman and the final table became five handed. Next to hit the rail was James Dempsey, his being no match for the of Frankenberger.

Four became three when Max Pescatori’s set of sixes could not fade the heart flush of Frankenberger and when arguably the best player in the tournament, Sorel Mizzi’s fell victim to Feldman’s it was time for heads up.

Feldman and Frankenberger battled for more than two hours and there was everything a televised one-on-one battle could want. We had a split pot with ace-king versus ace-queen which rocked Feldman but he doubled up when his beat Frankenberger’s with the chips going in on a flop but the Brit fell back to being a short-stack again when he fell victim of some great poker from Frankenberger.

In the hand Feldman raised with and Frankenberger three-bet with . Feldman was not done, he made it 235,000 to play and Frankenberger eventually called. The flop was met with a check-call from Frankenbergr when Feldman bet 95,000. The turn was the and Frankenberger checked again. Feldman took another shot, making it 165,000 to play but snap folded when the reigning WPT Player of the Year check-raised to 500,000. This rocked Feldman to the core and he never really regained his composure.

The final hand saw a preflop raising war resulted in Feldman being all in and at risk holding and Frankenberger holding . The board ran out the queen on the river completing an unlikely straight for Frankenberger and he had won all the chips in play, sending a distraught Feldman to the rail.

Congratulation to Andy Frankenberger on his latest victory, thank you to the superb Playboy Club London and from the heart of London a big thank you to all of our readers. Until WPT Prague, good night!
