What is the Nordic Poker Championships?

The Nordic Poker Championships is a multi-day poker tournament held both online and live. It has a massive €1,000,000 guaranteed prizepool including at least €200,000 for the winner!

When does it run?

The Nordic Poker Championship starts with package megasatellites running every Sunday on partypoker. The tournament itself will be held at Grandior Hotel Prague. See Schedule for more details.

What is the Buy In?

Buy In is €2000+€200 for Day 1.

At what stage can I Buy In?

Players can buy-in to Day 1s either before the start of the tournament or during the late registration period.

Players also have the option to register for the first 4 levels of Day 2 for the Nordic Poker Championship Main Event.

Is there a trophy?

Yes. There will be a custom made Nordic Poker Championship trophy!

What are the re-entry rules?

There is a maximum of 1 re-entry per Day 1 and Day 2 during the re-entry period.

How do I choose which Day 1 to play my chip stack?

You will be contacted by our partypoker LIVE team within 24 hours of making Day 1 to allow you to choose which Day 1 you would like to use your stack for.

Can a player play multiple Day 1s?

Yes. You will take your largest stack through to Day 2.

Are there online Satellites?

Yes. Online satellites for the Nordic Poker Championship will begin on the 3rd September.

Are deals permitted?

Final Table deals are permitted at the tournament director’s discretion.

How can I buy into Nordic Poker Championship?

Players can buy into an Online Nordic Poker Championship Day 1 using their online account. For a Day 1, players have the option to buy in live at the venue or online using the appropriate Live Event holding tank within the partypoker software.

Do I have to be a Nordic passport holder to play the Nordic Poker Championships?

You will either need a Nordic passport, a Nordic driver’s license, or a proof of residency in one of the Nordic countries to play the event. You will be asked to show this upon registration. Included in the Nordic countries are the countries of Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland and the Faroe Islands.

How is the prize pool paid out?

If you buy in Online, you will receive your payout online. If you buy in with cash at the venue, you will have the option to be paid out in cash at the venue or online. All non-cash payouts will be made by Friday 21st December 2017.

Will there be cash games or side events?

The full event schedule can be viewed here. The venue operates a wide range of cash games and tournaments, so there will be plenty of choice.

Will I require ID?

You will require a passport or a driver’s license. Residents with neither will be asked to provide a proof of address (utility bill or similar).

How old do I have to be to play?

Players must be at least 18 years of age to enter the Nordic Poker Championships.

Do I need a passport or visa?

If I finish in the money how will I be paid?

Players who register online or make it through an online Day 1 will be paid online. Those who register in cash will have the option to be paid in cash or into their partypoker account.

How many chips will I receive for buying into Day 1 directly?

Players who buy into Day 1 for €2,200 will receive 100,000 chips.

How long do Day 1 tournaments last?

Day 1 tournaments end after 8 levels with all surviving players moving to Day 2.

I won entry to Day 1/Day 2 but can no longer make it. What can I do?

Players must make sure they can attend the Nordic Poker Championships event before playing any satellites or qualifiers. Unfortunately, if you cannot attend the event we cannot offer a refund and you will be blinded out.
