Grand Prix Mini Athlone - €50k GTD
What promises to be a landmark event for poker in the Midlands of Ireland, the €50k GTD Grand Prix Mini Athlone has only a €120 buy-in!
Two Online Day 1s take place 18th and 21st February, before the live action moves to the stunning Radisson Blu Hotel. With a breathtaking waterfront view in sight, players will battle out the Live Day 1s 23rd and 24th February.
The €120 buy-in Grand Prix Mini Athlone is part of a new series of Mini Grand Prixs. The other events in the series will be taking place at the Eglington, Galway in June and Macau Sporting Club, Cork in December.

There are only two branches of the satellite tree to negotiate. Progress through the $0.50 stage and only the daily $22 Final stands in the way between you and a seat at the the €50k GTD Grand Prix Mini Athlone!

It could pay handsomely to secure your Day 2 seat quickly!
The first 50 players to advance to Day 2 via an Online Day 1 will earn a Golden Chip. If the Golden Chip holder then makes it to the Final Table they will win a €1,150 Irish Open 2018 Main Event seat!
If multiple players qualify for Day 2 from the same Online Day 1, the players with the highest chip stacks will be awarded the Golden Chip.
The 4-star Radisson Blu hotel, boasting a stunning waterfront location and scenic views of the town, will host all the live action.
Before the live cards are dealt, two Online Day 1s will take place:
- Online Day 1A - Sunday 18th February (21:00 GMT)
- Online Day 1B - Wednesday 21st February (21:00 GMT)
The tournament then move on to Athlone, where players have three further opportunities to progress to the Final Day:
- Live Day 1A - Friday 23rd February (19:00 GMT)
- Live Day 1B - Saturday 24th February (14:00 GMT)
- Live Day 1C - Saturday 24th February (19:00 GMT)
- Day 2 (Final Day) - Sunday 25th February (12:00 GMT)

- Take exit 11 from the N6 motorway, signposted "town centre",
- 145 parking spaces in the hotel - complementary for hotel guests and delegates.
Athlone train station is only 500m from the venue!
Athlone is approximately a 90-minute drive away from Dublin Airport. There are direct flights to Dublin from most UK airports, as well as many major European cities.
Players are responsible for ensuring they are eligible to travel to partypoker events before attempting to qualify for or enter a tournament. This includes attaining all documentation such as passports and visas.
