Jake Schindler won the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Grand Final Barcelona €100,000 Super High Roller and walked away with €1,750,000 in the process.

Schindler was one of 48 entrants in the €100,000 Super High Roller and the one of the 11 players to navigate their way through to Day 2. Only six of those 11 went on to receive prize money, with Dominik Nitsche, Koray Aldemir, Mikita Badziakouski and Steffen Sontheimer being the first casualties of the final day’s action.

Keith Tilston, who finished fourth in the €50,000 Super High Roller for €284,500 earlier in the week, was the unfortunate soul to burst the money bubble. Tilston’s pocket sizes proved no match for partypoker ambassador Jason Koon’s king-seven when a seven landed on the turn.

Short-stack Erik Seidel fell in sixth-place and he was followed to the cashier’s desk by Bryn Kenney who lost to the quad sixes of Schindler.

Jason Koon bust in fourth-place for €500,000.

Jason Koon bust in fourth-place for €500,000.

A pair of sixes stepped into the limelight again when Stephen Chidwick sent Koon to the rail in fourth-place; Koon held pocket threes and couldn’t improve against the Englishman’s pocket sixes.

Chidwick then saw his king-ten prevail against the queen-eight of Jean-Noel Thorel to send the tournament into the heads-up stage.

Schindler and Chidwick battled for two hours before the champion was crowned. With blinds of 175,000/350,000, Schindler raised to 875,000 and was called by Chidwick. Chidwick check-called a 500,000 bet on the flop before checking again on the turn. Schindler bet 1,800,000 and then called Chidwick’s check-raise to 5,100,000. The river was the and Chidwick moved all-in. Schindler called and showed for a straight. Chidwick revealed the for a bluff that had gone horribly wrong leaving Schindler to win the €1,750,000 first-place prize, boosting his lifetime live tournament winnings to an impressive €17,771,578.

Matan Bakrat: €2,700 Warm Up champion

Canada’s Matan Bakrat became a partypoker LIVE champion after he triumphed over a field of 749 entrants in the €2,700 Warm Up. The tournament had a €1 million guaranteed, but a massive €1,816,325 was paid out thanks to the impressive turnout.

Team partypoker members Joni Jouhkimainen finished in 69th place for €6,500 with Padraig Parkinson falling in 32nd place for an €11,000 score.

Everyone at the eight-handed official final table locked up €32,000 for their effort and it was the legendary Chris Moorman who collected this sum after seeing his tournament end in an eighth-place finish.

Moorman was joined in the showers by Canada’s Marc-Olivier Carpentier-Perrault, Frederic Delval, Greece’s Evangelos Beichrakis, and Finland’s Helin Joonas. Francois Billard of Canada bust in third-place to leave Bakrat and Polish star Bartlomiej Machon lock horns heads-up.

The final pair of players negotiated a deal that saw Machon secure €265,000, Bakrat €315,000 leaving €40,000 for the eventual champion. Bakrat got his hands on that extra money when he got his chips in with ace-ten against his opponent’s ace-queen. Bakrat flopped two pair and filled up to a full house on the river.
