There were some huge WPT World Online Championships (WPTWOC)<\/strong> side events this weekend and they attracted some of the best-known players to the partypoker tables. Samuel Vousden<\/strong><\/a> was one such player and he\u2019ll look back on this weekend\u2019s action fondly thanks to padding his bankroll with $158,100.<\/p>\n

Vousden came out on top of a 51-strong field in the $10,300 WPT High Roller<\/strong> on September 19. The Finnish superstars, better known as \u201c\u20acurop\u20acan\u201d<\/strong>, was the last man standing in the event.<\/p>\n

Timothy Adams<\/strong> burst the money bubble when he busted in 10th place. Adams\u2019 demise locked up $20,910 for the surviving players, which is the sum Bujtas Laszlo and Michael Addamo got their hands on.<\/p>\n

Kahle Burns<\/strong>, who is going great guns in the $25,500 High Roller Championship<\/strong><\/a>, fell in seventh-place and David Peters<\/strong> joined him a short while later.<\/p>\n

Then came the exit of high stakes specialist Justin Bonomo<\/strong> and WPTWOC Heads-Up champion Steve O\u2019Dwyer<\/strong><\/a>, the latter walking away with $46,410.<\/p>\n

Heads-up was set with the Swedish world-beater Niklas Astedt<\/strong> ran out of steam in third-place. This added yet another $72,420 to the Swede\u2019s already ridiculous online poker tournament winnings tally that\u2019s in excess of $21 million.<\/p>\n

Vousden and Artur Martirosian<\/strong> locked horns for the title, but only one man would emerge victorious. Vousden was that man, scooping the $158,100 top prize, resigning Martirosian to a $109,650 consolation prize.<\/p>\n

The $10,300 High Roller<\/strong> on September 20 attracted 50-entrants and Benjamin Rolle<\/strong> outlasted them all.<\/p>\n

Vousden may have won the same event a day earlier, but he busted two places from the money in this tournament. Fedor Holz<\/strong> was the unfortunate soul who burst the money bubble.<\/p>\n

Stephen Chidwick<\/strong> and Jake Schindler<\/strong> was the first pair of players to see a return on their $10,300 investment before Justin Bonomo<\/strong><\/a> became the first casualty of the final table.<\/p>\n

David Peters<\/strong> and Pascal Lefrancois<\/strong> joined the busted players on the sidelines before Juan Pardo<\/strong> crashed out in fourth place. Third place and the last five-figure prize of the tournament went to Canada\u2019s Jeffrey Cormier<\/strong>. His exit left Rob Yong<\/strong> and Rolle to lock horns and butt heads heads-up for the title.<\/p>\n

There was o deal struck despite a near $50,000 difference in the payouts. This meant Yong had to make do with a $107,500 runner-up score when he lost to Rolle in the final clash of the event. Rolle walked away as a WPTWOC event winner, an accolade that came with a $155,000 prize.<\/p>\n
