The Welsh Team partypoker member took down an 8-Max Knockout this week for more than $18,500 and reached the final two tables in a $1,050 Mix-Max event.<\/p>\n<p>These impressive results have catapulted Romanello to third in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/wpt-world-online-championship\/player-of-the-championship\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Player of the Championship<\/strong><\/a> race where $50,000 awaits the winner.<\/p>\n<h2>WPT 8-Max Knockout: $100K Gtd Final Table Results<\/h2>\n<p>Romanello\u2019s victory came in the <strong>$530 buy-in WPT 8-Max Knockout<\/strong> and was worth a cool $18,649. Romanello outlasted 196-opponents as he marched on to victory.<\/p>\n<p>A pair of Brazilian grinders were the final table\u2019s first casualties. <strong>Renan Fernandes<\/strong> finished in eight and <strong>Pedro Madeira<\/strong> saw his tournament end in seventh-place.<\/p>\n<p>United Kingdom-based Spanish superstar <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/2019-cpp-day-8-mateos-main-event.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Adrian Mateos<\/strong><\/a> busted in sixth for a shade under $2,900 before <strong>Maxim Mamonov<\/strong> of Russia and <strong>Samy Ouellani<\/strong> from the Netherlands crashed out in fifth and fourth-place respectively.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Elvis Arzic<\/strong> left the building in third and got his hands on $11,126 for his efforts. This added $3,264 to Romanello\u2019s bankroll.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Markus Altkirch<\/strong> and <strong>Daniel Carter<\/strong> were the next players who headed to the rail, setting the six-handed final table.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Manig Loeser<\/strong>\u2019s time at the final table was limited because he crashed and burned in sixth place. A pair of Swedish star in the legendary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/wpt-online-series-niklas-astedt-wins-weekender-for-175k.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Niklas Astedt<\/strong><\/a> and <strong>Simon Mattsson<\/strong> were the next players out of the door. They banked prizes worth $6,375 and $8,722 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The first five-figure prize went to <strong>Rok Gostisa<\/strong> who collected $11,979 when he fell in third. <strong>Aliaksei Boika<\/strong> and <strong>Sergi Denisov<\/strong> locked horns heads-up for the lion\u2019s share of the prize pool.
