He turned his 200,000 starting stack into 3,604,241 over the course of 18 levels and that\u2019s enough for second-place overall going into Day 2 on September 14.<\/p>\n<p>Several massive names also progressed from this second and final Day 1, showing how strong the lure of a WPT title and a $10 million prize pool is.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/wpt-knockout-championship-reaches-day-2-ali-imsirovic-leads.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ali Imsirovic<\/strong><\/a> (2,984,524), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/dan-smith-banks-a-massive-511k-poker-masters-score.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Dan Smith<\/strong><\/a> (2,735,368), and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/wpt-online-series-niklas-astedt-wins-weekender-for-175k.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Niklas Astedt<\/strong><\/a> (2,522,280) are just a trio of star to look out for when play resumes. All three bagged up enough chips to finished in the top 10 on Day 1B.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Christian Rudolph<\/strong> (2,183,550), <strong>Timothy Adams<\/strong> (1,931,454), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/poker-masters-victories-for-watson-and-nemeth.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Mike Watson<\/strong><\/a> (1,816,269), and <strong>Claas Segrebrecht<\/strong> (1,785,170) each punched their Day 2 tickets and are in with a legitimate shot at a seven-figure prize.<\/p>\n<p>Two orange diamonds made it through from this flight, namely <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/team-partypokers-jason-koon-wins-1m-gtd-poker-masters-event.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Jason Koon<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/wptwoc-event-winner-isaac-haxton-does-it-again.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Isaac Haxton<\/strong><\/a>. Both of these superstars are no strangers to prestigious tournaments and each is no gunning for glory here. Koon returns with a 1,583,158 stack while Haxton is armed with 631,726 and has a little work to do.<\/p>\n<h2>Two Players Will Become Millionaires<\/h2>\n<p>The payouts are now set with both flights done and dusted and there are some incredible prizes on offer. Some 136 spots are paid, meaning 20 of the Day 2 players return home empty-handed.<\/p>\n<p>A min-cash is worth $23,253 and this sum increases to a point where the final 12 finishers win at least $103,122. Anyone finishing fourth or above wins more than half a million dollars with the runner-up scooping $1,231,600. Our champion, whoever that shall be, <strong>walks away with a cool $1,715,667<\/strong> and their name forever etched onto the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup.<\/p>\n<p>We cannot wait to discover who that champion will be and we don\u2019t have too long to wait to find out.
