Day 1B of the $10,300 WPT Main Event Championship<\/strong> took place on September 13 and saw another 490 players buy in. This took the total attendance to 1,011<\/strong>, meaning the $10 million guarantee has been surpassed by $110,000.<\/p>\n

Only 76 of those 490 Day 1B players managed to finish the flight with chips in front of them. Nobody had a larger stack that Benjamin Rolle<\/strong> who claimed the Day 1B chip lead and has done his chances of glory no harm at all by getting off to a flying start.<\/p>\n

Rolle is a very dangerous poker player, one who has featured in the highest buy-in tournaments online poker has to offer. He turned his 200,000 starting stack into 3,604,241 over the course of 18 levels and that\u2019s enough for second-place overall going into Day 2 on September 14.<\/p>\n

Several massive names also progressed from this second and final Day 1, showing how strong the lure of a WPT title and a $10 million prize pool is.<\/p>\n

Ali Imsirovic<\/strong><\/a> (2,984,524), Dan Smith<\/strong><\/a> (2,735,368), and Niklas Astedt<\/strong><\/a> (2,522,280) are just a trio of star to look out for when play resumes. All three bagged up enough chips to finished in the top 10 on Day 1B.<\/p>\n

Christian Rudolph<\/strong> (2,183,550), Timothy Adams<\/strong> (1,931,454), Mike Watson<\/strong><\/a> (1,816,269), and Claas Segrebrecht<\/strong> (1,785,170) each punched their Day 2 tickets and are in with a legitimate shot at a seven-figure prize.<\/p>\n

Two orange diamonds made it through from this flight, namely Jason Koon<\/strong><\/a> and Isaac Haxton<\/strong><\/a>. Both of these superstars are no strangers to prestigious tournaments and each is no gunning for glory here. Koon returns with a 1,583,158 stack while Haxton is armed with 631,726 and has a little work to do.<\/p>\n

Two Players Will Become Millionaires<\/h2>\n

The payouts are now set with both flights done and dusted and there are some incredible prizes on offer. Some 136 spots are paid, meaning 20 of the Day 2 players return home empty-handed.<\/p>\n

A min-cash is worth $23,253 and this sum increases to a point where the final 12 finishers win at least $103,122. Anyone finishing fourth or above wins more than half a million dollars with the runner-up scooping $1,231,600. Our champion, whoever that shall be, walks away with a cool $1,715,667<\/strong> and their name forever etched onto the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup.<\/p>\n

We cannot wait to discover who that champion will be and we don\u2019t have too long to wait to find out. Who that champion will be becomes clearer after Day 2 on September 14. Play resumes at 20:05 CEST and continues until only nine players remain.<\/p>\n
