{"id":92205,"date":"2020-09-03T13:37:01","date_gmt":"2020-09-03T13:37:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog?p=92205"},"modified":"2021-10-13T08:10:12","modified_gmt":"2021-10-13T08:10:12","slug":"its-not-too-late-to-climb-the-wptwoc-leaderboards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/its-not-too-late-to-climb-the-wptwoc-leaderboards.html","title":{"rendered":"It\u2019s Not Too Late to Climb the WPTWOC Leaderboards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019re into Week 8 of the massive <strong>WPT World Online Championships<\/strong> and the race to be crowned <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/wpt-world-online-championship\/player-of-the-championship\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Player of the Championship<\/strong><\/a> and the series\u2019 <strong>Rising Star<\/strong> is growing more exciting by the day.<\/p>\n<p>Both leaderboards are starting to look a little like they will do when the WPTWOC concludes, but there\u2019s still plenty of time to rock the boat and climb up either of the two leaderboards.<\/p>\n<h2>WPTWOC Player of the Championship<\/h2>\n<p>British pro <strong>Scott Margereson<\/strong> is the man to catch in the Player of the Championship standings and he\u2019s on course to collect a cool $50,000. Margereson is yet to win big in any of the Championship Events, but he\u2019s been excelling in the side events, hence his lofty position.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/index\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Team partypoker<\/strong><\/a> members currently occupy second and third-place. <strong>Kristen Bicknell<\/strong> was knocked off top spot by Margereson recently, but she\u2019s still less than 13 points behind. Second-place in this leaderboard weighs in at $10,000.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/roberto-romanello\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Roberto Romanello<\/strong><\/a> finds himself in third-place and looking likely for a $5,000 addition to his bankroll. Romanello is only 18 points behind Bicknell in second-place so anything can happen between now and the end of the WPTWOC.<\/p>\n<p>Should any members of Team partypoker win a prize from any of our leaderboards, their prize will be up for grabs in the form of a special freeroll bearing their name. At the time of writing, this equates to $15,000 worth of freerolls being played for by you and your fellow partypoker grinders.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t write off the likes of <strong>Lars Kamphues<\/strong>, Russian high stakes guru <strong>Artur Martirosian<\/strong>, or <strong>Dimitar Danchev<\/strong>, among others. Constantino soared into second-place on the back of his impressive victory in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/luiz-constantino-takes-down-micro-main-event-and-become-a-wptwoc-event-winner.html\"><strong>$109 Micro Main Event<\/strong><\/a>, which also netted the Brazilian almost $150,000.<\/p>\n<p>Literally anyone could win the $10,000 top prize in this race.
