Elio Fox<\/strong> has won almost everything there is to win from poker and he\u2019s now added the WPT Big Game: $1M Gtd<\/strong><\/a> title to his already impressive poker CV.<\/p>\n

Fox was the last man standing in the recent $5,200 buy-in WPT Big Game<\/strong> and saw his bankroll swell by $200,650. This event is always packed to the brim with poker\u2019s biggest names and most established players. The latest edition was no exception.<\/p>\n

Ivan Gabrieli<\/strong> crashed out in 33rd place and earned himself the unwanted title of \u201cbubble boy.\u201d Gabrieli\u2019s exit paved the way for a raft of superb players to see a return on their investment. These included Team partypoker\u2019s Patrick Leonard<\/strong><\/a>, Jeff Gross<\/strong><\/a>, and Jordan Drummond<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Current WPT Player of the Series leader Scott Margereson<\/strong>, Preben Stokkan<\/strong>, Jans Arends<\/strong>, Mark Radoja<\/strong>, Pascal Lefrancois<\/strong><\/a>, and Conor Beresford<\/strong> also navigated their way deep into the money places.<\/p>\n

Daniel Dvoress<\/strong> was the eight-handed final table\u2019s first casualty. The recent WSOP bracelet winner secured $25,000 for his efforts.<\/p>\n

Daniel Colpoys<\/strong>, who narrowly missed out on WPTWOC glory earlier in the series, finished seventh for $32,500 before William Arruda<\/strong> busted in sixth-place for a $42,000 cash haul.<\/p>\n

Four-Time WPT Champion Crashes Out<\/h2>\n

WPT regular Darren Elias<\/strong> ran out of steam in fifth-place and had to make do with a $55,000 prize. Elias holds four WPT Main Event titles, the most of anyone in the tour\u2019s long and illustrious history.<\/p>\n

Fourth place and the last five-figure score went to Dutch star Teun Mulder<\/strong>. The man from the Netherlands collected $78,000. Mulder\u2019s exit left Fox to lock horns with Christian Rudolph<\/strong> and a certain Team partypoker member, Roberto Romanello<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rudolph saw his tournament end abruptly in third, which weighed in at $104,200. Romanello and Fox fought it out heads-up for the title and the lion\u2019s share of the prize pool. It turned out to be the Fox\u2019s share of the prize pool because Romanello fell in second-place and scooped $146,050 leaving Fox to bank $200,650 and the title of champion.<\/p>\n

WPT Super High Roller: $500K Gtd Final Table Results<\/h2>\n

Dan Smith<\/strong> was another player who walked away with a massive prize thanks to him taking down the $25,500 Super High Roller<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A compact field of 21-entrants meant only the top three finishers received payouts, but what superb payouts they were.<\/p>\n

Artur Martirosian<\/strong> continued his impressive run in high roller events with a third-place finish worth $105,000. The Russian\u2019s untimely demise left Dan Smith and high stakes cash game guru Wiktor Malinowski<\/strong> to fight it out one-on-one for the title and a pay jump in excess of $100,000.<\/p>\n

No deal was struck despite the huge difference in prize money, meaning Smith collected a cool $262,500 for his victory and Malinowski had to make do with the $157,500 runner-up prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
