Team partypoker\u2019s Kristen Bicknell<\/strong> triumphed in the 7-Max High Roller<\/strong><\/a> last week for $79,275. On August 16, Bicknell was again triumphant after taking down the $1,050 WPT Knockout Turbo<\/strong>, a result that netted the popular Canadian $33,210.<\/p>\n

Bicknell was one of 148 players who fought it out for a slice of the $150,000 prize pool. Half that princely sum went into the main prize pool, which the top 21 finishers shared, and the remaining 50% going on each entrant\u2019s head.<\/p>\n

Triple Crown chasing Ognyan Dimov<\/strong> was the bubble boy. He didn\u2019t go home empty-handed, however, because he picked up $562 worth of bounties.<\/p>\n

Team partypoker\u2019s Jeff Gross<\/strong><\/a> and Jaime Staples<\/strong><\/a> were the first players to bust inside the money places. The likes of Anton Wigg<\/strong>, 6-Max Championship<\/a> runner-up Artsiom Prostak<\/strong>, Scott Margereson<\/strong>, Preben Stokkan<\/strong> and Phil Mighall<\/strong> all finished with a nice return on their $1,050 investment.<\/p>\n

Bicknell eventually found herself heads-up against teammate Patrick Leonard<\/strong><\/a>. Both players were guaranteed more than $13,800 from the main prize pool but there were huge bounties in play too. Leonard fell in second-place and added $8,343 to his $13,820 score. This left Bicknell to win the $13,835 top prize plus an additional $19,375 from the bounty prize pool.<\/p>\n

Greenwood Bags Two High Roller Titles<\/h2>\n

Sam Greenwood<\/strong><\/a> is no stranger to major final tables, he seems to reach them with an almost unnatural ability. Greenwood secured the top prize in a pair of high roller events and walked away with a combined $150,513.<\/p>\n

Victory number one came in the $10,300 WPT High Roller<\/strong>, a tournament that saw 25 of the world\u2019s best players take to the partypoker felt.<\/p>\n

Only four players cashed in this event and Chris Hunichen<\/strong> was the last player to go home empty-handed. Fedor Holz<\/strong> finished in fourth for $25,000 with Christoph Vogelsang<\/strong> collecting $43,750 for this third-place eixt.<\/p>\n

This left Greenwood and Timothy Adams<\/strong> as the last players standing. The pair struck a deal that resulted in Adams finishing second and banking $88,586 and Greenwood claiming the title and $92,663.<\/p>\n

Greenwood\u2019s second victory came in the $5,200 WPT High Roller Turbo. Some 26 players bought in and battled it out for a share of the $130,000 prize pool. Artur Martirosian finished in fourth and won $13,000 before Alex Foxen<\/strong> busted in third for $22,750.<\/p>\n

Aleksandr Shevelev<\/strong> and Greenwood locked horns heads-up and Greenwood marched onto victory. This latest win was worth $57,850 for Greenwood which left Shevelev to pad his bankroll with $36,400.<\/p>\n

Haxton Wins Super High Roller!<\/h2>\n

Isaac Haxton<\/a><\/strong> was another of our player who won big and by big we actually mean huge! Haxton finished first from 21 entrants in the $25,500 WPT Super High Roller and got his hands on a cool $215,135.<\/p>\n

Haxton\u2019s prize would have been even larger but he struck a heads-up deal with Dan Smith<\/strong>, one that left Smith to collect $204,864.<\/p>\n

Only one other player saw a return on their substantial investment and that was Christoph Vogelsang<\/strong> who scooped $105,000 after falling in third-place.<\/p>\n

Matthew Staples Nets $23,000<\/h2>\n

Matthew Staples<\/strong> came close to becoming a WPTWOC champion in the $1,050 WPT Knockout Warm Up. Staples came unstuck in fourth-place and won $19,436 from the main prize pool and an additional $4,632 worth of bounties, for a combined prize worth $24,068.<\/p>\n

Boris Kolev<\/strong> was the last player standing. His first-place prize weighed in at $41,160 and this was boosted by a cool $47,890 worth of bounty payments!<\/p>\n
