Team partypoker\u2019s Kristen Bicknell<\/strong> helped herself to a midweek $79,275 bankroll boost by outshining a bunch of the game\u2019s stars in the WPT 7-Max High Roller<\/strong> event.<\/p>\n

Forty-two players exchanged $5,200 for 100,000 chips and what a starting 42 it was. The likes of Dan Smith<\/strong>, Stephen Chidwick<\/strong>, Pascal Lefrancois<\/strong><\/a>, Jake Schindler<\/strong>, and Daniel Dvoress<\/strong> were among those who entered but bust before the money places.<\/p>\n

Sam Greenwood<\/strong> and Samuel Vousden<\/strong><\/a> also crashed out without a prize, before Russian duo Sergei Denisov<\/strong> and Arseniy Malinov<\/strong> busted, the latter popping the money bubble.<\/p>\n

Finnish high roller specialist Sami Kelopuro<\/strong> had to make do with the $11,550 sixth-place prize. Our very own Mikita Badziakouski<\/strong> joined Kelopuro on the rail in fifth, a finish worth $14,490.<\/p>\n

Former WSOP Europe Main Event champion Elio Fox<\/strong> dusted off his chips in fourth for a $19,635 score with Scott Margereson<\/strong> of the United Kingdom helping himself to the $32,550 third-place prize.<\/p>\n

His exit left Bicknell and David Peters<\/strong> to fight it out for the top prize. Despite a $27,000 difference in the prize money, no deal was struck, which meant Bicknell scooped $79,275 and Peters collected $52,500.<\/p>\n

WPT 6-Max Mini Championship<\/h2>\n

Bruno Volkmann<\/p><\/div>\n

Brazil has a WPT hero after Bruno Volkmann<\/strong> took down the WPT 6-Max Mini Championship<\/strong>. Volkmann has more than $6.5 million in online poker tournament winnings and now he has a WPT title.<\/p>\n

Everyone at the final table won at least $19,670. Volkmann\u2019s fellow Brazilian Mauricio Farias<\/strong> won this sum. Belgian star Matthias De Meulder<\/strong> fell in fifth for $34,310 before Andrei Kriazhev<\/strong> got his hands on the $53,230 fourth-place prize\/<\/p>\n

Another Brazilian, Thiago Azevedo Grigoletti<\/strong>, saw his tournament end in third place, which was worth $72,410. Volkmann fought heads-up with New Zealand\u2019s Dylan Rowe<\/strong> and he got the job done. A $121,980 prize winged its way to Volkmann, leaving Rowe to pad his bankroll with $93,880.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Norway\u2019s Mats Ullereng<\/strong> followed in the footsteps of his countryman Espen Uhlen<\/strong><\/a> by winning a WPT side event. Ullereng triumphed in the WPT 6-Max Micro Championship<\/strong> and banked an impressive $35,859 for his $33 investment.<\/p>\n

The top four finishers turned their $33 buy-in into a five-figure haul. Daniel Camacho<\/strong> of Brazil banked $15,285 with third-placed Pavel Kovalenko<\/strong> netting $21,045. The runner-up, Craig Swatton<\/strong> of the United Kingdom, reeling in $27,483.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
