Some 999 players bought into the $3 million guaranteed WPT #04 6-Max Championship<\/strong><\/a> a couple of days ago and only seven of those starters remain in the hunt for the title. One of those seven stars will become a World Poker Tour champion and see their bank accounts swell by an impressive $494,550.<\/p>\n

Right now, all seven are getting some valuable rest after two days of intense poker action. They\u2019ll return to their seats at 20:00 CEST on August 11 and butt heads until a champion is crowned.<\/p>\n

Should the final table finish in the same order as the overnight chip counts, Artsiom Prostak<\/strong> will be the man helping himself to the near-half million-dollar top prize. Little is known about the Belarusian other than he won the $1,050 WPT Omaha Hi-Lo Turbo<\/strong> a couple of weeks ago for $22,496 His Hendon Mob profile shows $2,914 worth of winnings in the live poker arena. Prostak and his six remaining opponents are guaranteed at least $70,200 in this event.<\/p>\n

Elior Sion<\/p><\/div>\n

Elior Sion<\/strong> is the man in second-place and he could well be the United kingdom\u2019s best-kept secret. Sion is a high stakes pro who prefers to stay out of the limelight. He just goes about his business and his business is winning stacks of money.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll often find Sion playing in the highest stakes tournaments and cash games online and around the world. To date, he has more than $2.5 million in live winnings, including a $1,395,767 score for winning the $50,000 Poker Players Championship<\/strong> event at the 2016 WSOP; that tournament is regarded as the toughest in the world.<\/p>\n

Sion\u2019s No-Limit Hold\u2019em skills need to be on point when he sits back down because he\u2019s surrounded by some impressive opponents, not that it will faze him.<\/p>\n

Patrice Brandt<\/p><\/div>\n

Currently occupying third-place is UK-based German Patrice Brandt<\/strong>. Brandt has played several partypoker LIVE events over the past couple of years, but it was in a WPT tournament that he locked up his largest score yet. Brandt finished third in the \u20ac3,300 WPT European Championship in Berlin<\/strong> in January 2018 and padded his bankroll with \u20ac93,105 ($111,187). Finishing fifth or higher in this 6-Max Championship will surpass that impressive sum.<\/p>\n

Petrangelo Is In The Hunt For Glory<\/h2>\n

Nick Petrangelo<\/p><\/div>\n

Nick Petrangelo<\/strong><\/a> returns to the action with enough chips to place him fourth. Petrangelo is a phenomenal player, one with almost $17.5 million in live tournament winnings, and several million more from his online poker<\/a> career. It\u2019s difficult to pick out a career highlight for Petrangelo because there are so many massive results to choose from.<\/p>\n

We\u2019d have to say his 2018 WSOP victory in the $100,000 High Roller<\/strong> is the one that stands out, especially as it netted him $2,910,227. He also has a runner-up finish in the 2015 WPT Alpha8<\/strong> event in Las Vegas that secured a $1,015,335 prize.<\/p>\n

Petrangelo has more than 50 cashes that weigh in at six-figures or more. He\u2019s definitely one to watch when the cards are back in the air.<\/p>\n

Arsenii Karmatckii<\/p><\/div>\n

Don\u2019t write off the chances of Russian pro Arsenii Karmatckii<\/strong> even though he starts the final table fifth in chips; the man is a beast of a poker player. You may know him as \u201cjosef_shvejk\u201d<\/strong> if you follow online poker tournaments, it\u2019s an alias that\u2019s won him more than $5.1 million in the online poker world.<\/p>\n

His largest online cash weighs in at $269,136 so he needs third-place or better to beat that score. He\u2019s no slouch in the live poker world either, as is evident by his $1.69 million in winnings, including an EPT title and his victory in the \u20ac2,200 partypoker LIVE German Poker Championship<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Jake Schindler: The $25 Million Dollar Man<\/h2>\n

Jake Schindler<\/p><\/div>\n

Sixth-place at the restart belongs to Jake Schindler<\/strong> is a super-talented American pro who mostly focusses on the high roller and super high roller live scene. He has a base in Mexico so he can compete in the biggest tournaments online poker can throw at him.<\/p>\n

Schindler has won millions of dollars online and an incredible $25,269,982 in the live poker world. His four largest prizes are worth a combined $8,276,375, which is nothing short of ridiculous! Some \u20ac1,750,000 ($2,151,754) of those prizes came from winning the \u20ac100,000 Super High Roller<\/strong> event at the 2008 partypoker MILLIONS Grand Final<\/strong><\/a> in Barcelona. A WPT title still eludes Schindler, is this the day he changes that fact?<\/p>\n

Joacheng Gong<\/p><\/div>\n

Joacheng Gong<\/strong> is the man bringing up the rear but he\u2019s far from out of contention. Sure, he has a lot of work to do, but he\u2019s already showing a decent profit for the series thanks to finishing seventh in the 8-Max Championship<\/strong><\/a> for $61,171. Gong started that final table eighth in chips and while he couldn\u2019t quite get out of second gear, he showed knowledge of ICM and managed to ladder up a payout spot.<\/p>\n
