This takes the total attendance to 1,062 and means the surviving players from both flights are now playing for a share of $3,186,000.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/ioannis-angelou-konstas-wins-2020-irish-open-online-high-roller.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ioannis Angelou-Konstas<\/strong><\/a> is the man who topped the Day 1B chip counts and now also leads the tournament overall. The Netherlands-based Dutch star finished his flight with 2,289,328 chips in his arsenal and is the only player to bag up more than two million. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/ali-imsirovic-off-to-a-flying-start-in-the-wptwoc-8-max-championship.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Day 1A chip leader, <strong>Ali Imsirovic<\/strong><\/a>, came close with 1,959,334, but Angelou-Konstas is the one to catch.<\/p>\n<p>Angelou-Konstas is no stranger to major events. He\u2019s racked up almost $2.65 million in live tournament cashes, including a massive \u00a3940,000 ($1,237,557) from his victory in the <strong>2018 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS UK Main Event<\/strong>. Angelou-Konstas now has his sights set on a WPT title.<\/p>\n<p>It won\u2019t be an easy task because there were some legitimate superstars who punched their Day 2 tickets from the Day 1B flight.<\/p>\n<p>Not least <strong>Sami Kelopuro<\/strong> who ended Day 1B with 1,494,707 chips, enough for second place. Team partypoker\u2019s <strong>Dzmitry Urbanovich<\/strong> (1,060,724) was the only orange diamond to make it through the shark-infested waters unscathed.<\/p>\n<p>Others to look out from the Day 1B field when Day 2 shuffles up and deal at 20:00 CEST on August 3 include <strong>Dan Shak<\/strong> (1,105,920), <strong>Sylvain Loosli<\/strong> (989,180), <strong>Alex Foxen<\/strong> (879,479), and <strong>Benjamin Rolle<\/strong> (835,427).<\/p>\n<p>Others also through include, <strong>Steve O\u2019Dwyer<\/strong> (660,615), <strong>Liv Boeree<\/strong> (476,101), <strong>Simon Ravnsbaek<\/strong> (475,392), <strong>Christopher Brammer<\/strong> (467,173), <strong>Sam Grafton<\/strong> (355,0650) who won the <strong>$1,050 8-Max Warm-Up<\/strong> for $99,180, and <strong>Laszlo Bujtas<\/strong> (234,426).<\/p>\n<p>Day 2 runs until only nine players remain in the hunt for the $540,664 top prize, induction in the <strong>WPT Champions Club<\/strong>, and a $15,000 seat in the next <strong>Tournament of Champions<\/strong> including flights and accommodation!<\/p>\n<p>Who will those nine finalists be?
