Each paid $1,100 to participate with $100 from each buy-in being donated to the 1 Day Sooner charity, which aims to speed up the development of a COVID-19 vaccine. The charity will receive a cool $51,200 thanks to the incredible support of this charity event.<\/p>\n<p>Forty-eight of those entrants were classified as Shooting Stars and had a $500 bounty on their heads. Only six of those Shooting Stars made it through to Day 2, including our very own <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/sam-trickett\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Sam Trickett<\/strong><\/a> who is armed with 2,301,844 chips at the restart, good enough for third place.<\/p>\n<p>The other stars through with their bounties intact are <strong>Manig Loeser<\/strong>, former WPT Prague champion <strong>Matas Cimbolas<\/strong>, <strong>Liv Boeree<\/strong>, three-time World Champion snooker player <strong>Mark Williams<\/strong>, and former Manchester United and England defender <strong>Wes Brown<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Remaining Shooting Stars<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Manig Loeser \u2013 3,040,262 chips &#8211; 2nd place<\/li>\n<li>Sam Trickett \u2013 2,301,844 chips &#8211; 3rd place<\/li>\n<li>Matas Cimbolas \u2013 1,893,500 chips &#8211; 6th place<\/li>\n<li>Liv Boeree \u2013 1,040,340 chips &#8211; 18th place<\/li>\n<li>Mark Williams \u2013 660,588 chips &#8211; 32nd place<\/li>\n<li>Wes Brown \u2013 565,725 chips &#8211; 36th place<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It was Finland\u2019s <strong>Tomi Brouk<\/strong> who shone the brightest on Day 1 and he\u2019s the man to catch when play resumed. Brouk returns to his seat with 3,562,627 chips in his arsenal and leads the 45 returning players.<\/p>\n<p>The Finn is a phenomenal poker tournament player, one with <strong>more than $10 million in online winnings<\/strong>; more than $3 million of that impressive sum comes from his play at partypoker.
