{"id":88642,"date":"2020-07-19T09:31:09","date_gmt":"2020-07-19T09:31:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog?p=88642"},"modified":"2020-07-20T12:30:21","modified_gmt":"2020-07-20T12:30:21","slug":"partypoker-to-bring-new-standard-of-online-tournament-streaming-for-wpt-world-online-championships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/partypoker-to-bring-new-standard-of-online-tournament-streaming-for-wpt-world-online-championships.html","title":{"rendered":"partypoker to bring new standard of online tournament streaming for WPT\u00ae World Online Championships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>All championship events\u2019 final tables to be streamed live<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The inaugural WPT\u00ae World Online Championships will present a new level of online tournament streaming to fans, with events being shown live on partypokerTV &#8211; partypoker\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.twitch.tv\/partypokertv\">Twitch channe<\/a>l \u2013 partypoker.com, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCwsWa65jkbHfvAblmmW_Z-Q\">YouTube<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/category\/Product-Service\/partypoker-LIVE-123576434946493\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Facebook<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The WPT World Online Championships will be hosted on partypoker from Friday, July 17, 2020, to Wednesday, September 9, 2020, paying out a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000,000. The series is designed to replicate an authentic live poker experience.<\/p>\n<p>With this in mind, partypoker is <strong>teaming up with ShareHand<\/strong>, the production partner for live tours including WPT events and partypoker MILLIONS, to provide an experience as close as possible to watching a live series, while ensuring the core elements of online poker are not impacted.<\/p>\n<p>The final tables of all 12 championship events will be streamed live, where there will be giveaways of tournament tickets to give you a shot at joining the action. All final tables will feature cards up on a short delay. The real names of all final table players will be shown on screen to replicate a live WPT final table.<\/p>\n<p>Commentary for those events will be provided by the best in the business, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/mike-sexton\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Mike Sexton<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>James Dempsey<\/strong>, <strong>Matt Savage<\/strong>, <strong>Joey Ingram<\/strong>, <strong>Vince Van Patten<\/strong> and <strong>Tony Dunst<\/strong>. They will be joined by a selection of Team partypoker professionals providing guest commentary, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/jason-koon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Jason Koon<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/isaac-haxton\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Isaac Haxton<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/roberto-romanello\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Roberto Romanello<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/sam-trickett\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Sam Trickett<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/ludovic-geilich\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ludovic Geilich<\/strong><\/a>. WPT Executive Tour Director Matt Savage will be the lead commentator for the five WPT Champions Cup events, including the WPT World Championship Online.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/E4ir7hjTVFw\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In addition, side event streaming coverage with James Dempsey and <strong>Henry Kilbane<\/strong> will be shown on partypokerTV two to four times per week during the festival, using the partypoker replayer cards up system.<\/p>\n<p>Commentary for all streams will be available in English and several other languages, including: Russian commentary with <strong>Dmitry Shakhov<\/strong> and <strong>Ilya Gorodetskiy<\/strong>; German commentary with <strong>Stefan Hachmeister<\/strong> and <strong>Christian Gross<\/strong>; Latin Spanish commentary with <strong>Gaston Catzman<\/strong> and <strong>Santiago Garcia<\/strong>; and Portuguese commentary with <strong>Marcos Sketch<\/strong> and <strong>Thiago Crema De Macedo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The streaming of the <strong>WPT World Online Championships<\/strong> is just one way the online series bears similarities with a live series. There will be a maximum of two Day 1s for the 12 championship events in the series, with a maximum of one re-entry allowed. The winners of the five WPT Champions Cup events will be entered into the WPT Champions Club.<\/p>\n<p>Team partypoker\u2019s Sexton said: \u201cThe WPT World Online Championships is special for so many reasons.
