\"\"It\u2019s been a little while since my last blog post<\/a>. Since then I\u2019ve been taking it easy and trying to get myself in a good mindset for the Aussie Millions.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve kept the poker playing to a minimum, although, I did go reasonably deep in the APPT Grand Final in Sydney.<\/p>\n

In that, I busted in around 30th<\/sup> place when I got it in with [9x][9x] to Daniel Negreanu\u2019s [Qx][Qx]. I had a short medium stack leading all the way into the money and I thought I played pretty well through the tournament.<\/p>\n

Currently, I\u2019m back in Melbourne almost a year on from winning the big one<\/a>. It\u2019s been quite a year to say the least.<\/p>\n

Playing big tournaments all over the world has been a great experience and I\u2019d like to say that I\u2019ve loved every minute of it, but I don\u2019t think that\u2019s possible in tournament poker – so, I\u2019ll say that I\u2019ve loved almost every minute of it.<\/p>\n

Looking at the past year it would have been great to have had another big score, but I don\u2019t have any complaints. I think I\u2019m playing pretty well and my game\u2019s definitely improved, especially my live game.<\/p>\n

Spending more time at the tables and thinking about hands differently has given me some good insights into my own game and how poker\u2019s evolved over the past couple years. I\u2019m feeling confident with my game at the moment and think that I\u2019m playing as well as ever.<\/p>\n

I haven\u2019t had much success in any of the side events so far, but, I haven\u2019t really had any success in any side events through the whole year so I\u2019m not reading too much into that. I tend to do much better in main events, which I guess is a good thing.<\/p>\n

I\u2019d love to add some more Aussie Millions jewellery to the collection. It definitely feels good to be back and I always tend to do well in places where I\u2019ve done well before, so hopefully I can make it count for the 2011 Aussie Millions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
