The High Roller Club<\/strong> continued on June 21 with some massive events. Sunday are traditionally the biggest days in the online poker world<\/a> and this Sunday was no exception. Dozens of the world\u2019s best players turned out for the High Roller Club events, but it was UK-based Australian superstar Michael Addamo<\/strong><\/a> who shone brightest. What happened? Let\u2019s find out.<\/p>\n

High Roller Club: Main Event $1M Gtd<\/h2>\n

Thirty-nine players parted company with $25,500 in this Sunday\u2019s High Roller Club Main Event<\/strong> and only five of them walked away with a slice of the $1 million prize pool.<\/p>\n

Stephen Chidwick<\/strong> and Daniel Dvoress<\/strong><\/a> both reached the final table but still left the tournament empty-handed, as did Sergi Reixach<\/strong> who fell in sixth-place and was the unfortunate soul who burst the money bubble.<\/p>\n

Money Bubble Bursts<\/h2>\n

Reixach busted in a massive pot. Rok Gostisa<\/strong> min-raised to 500,000 with in the cutoff and Reixach jammed from the small blind for 6,471,292 with . Pascal Lefrancois<\/strong><\/a> woke up in the big blind with and he reshoved for 8,608,652, forcing a fold from Gostisa. The board ran and the bubble burst.<\/p>\n

Timothy Adams<\/strong> was the first player to bust inside the money. His tournament ended at the hands of Lefrancois. Lefrancois min-raised to 500,000 on the button with and Adams three-bet all-in from the small blind for 3,013,356 with . Lefranoics called.<\/p>\n

A final board reading saw Lefrancois improve to a straight and the player count reduce by one.<\/p>\n

Fourth-place and exactly $100,000 went to Juan Pardo<\/strong>. Addamo min-raised to 700,000 on the button with and Pardo called in the big blind with . Pardo paired his eight on the but it would ultimately be an expensive second-best hand. Pardo checked, Addamo bet 437,500 into 1,750,000 and instantly called when Pardo check-raised all for 2,114,614 in total. The turn was followed by the river and Pardo busted.<\/p>\n

Heads-Up Set; Addamo Running Hot<\/h2>\n

Addamo caught more than his fair share of favourable boards and found himself the chip leader with only three players remaining. He sent Lefrancois to the showers in third-place to all but tie up the tournament.<\/p>\n

With blinds at 250,000\/500,000\/62,500a, Addamo ripped it for 23,269,369 with . Gostisa folded his in the small blind from a 4,816,464 stack, but Lefrancois called off his 10,476,667 with . Addamo flopped trip nines and Lefrancois failed to catch up.<\/p>\n

This left Addamo with 34,183,536 chips to Gostisa\u2019s 4,816,464 and the writing was on the wall. Gostisa\u2019s chips went into the middle on the first hand of heads-up and Addamo called. It was for Gostisa and for Addamo. A final board reading busted Gostisa in second-place and left Addamo to bank a cool $407,500.<\/p>\n

High Roller Club: Mix-Max 2nd Chance $500K Gtd<\/h2>\n

Addamo found himself deep in the $10,300 High Roller Club Mix-Max<\/strong> event while he was busy taking down the Main Event. Not only did he triumph in the Main Event, he also took down this tournament!<\/p>\n

This event paid $510,000 across the top six finishers. Alex Foxen<\/strong><\/a> narrowly missed out on another High Roller Club score, falling in seventh for nothing more than the unwanted title of bubble boy.<\/p>\n

Pascal Lefrancois<\/strong> finished in sixth and more than doubled his buy-in to $27,568. Juan Pardo<\/strong> joined Lefrancois on the rail, doing so with $35,700 more in his bankroll. Then Timothy Adams<\/strong><\/a> ($45,900) and Russian pro Vyacheslav Buldygin<\/strong> ($66,300) fell by the wayside, which left Sergi Reixach<\/strong> and Addamo to fight it out one-on-one for the lion\u2019s share of the prize pool.<\/p>\n

Addamo brushed aside his opponent and got his hands on the $204,000 top prize, resigning Reixach to a $130,531 consolation prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

High Roller Club: The Big Game $1M Gtd<\/h2>\n

Addamo also put together a deep run in the $1 million guaranteed Big Game,<\/strong> but fell short of the final table. Addamo fell in 13th place for $15,355, one place before Team partypoker\u2019s Ludovic Geilich<\/strong><\/a> whose 12th place finished yielded an $18,468 prize.<\/p>\n

Niklas Astedt<\/strong> and Wiktor Malinowski<\/strong>‘s tournaments ended before Team Online\u2019s Jordan Drummond<\/strong><\/a> popped the final table bubble, the Canadian\u2019s ninth-place being worth $18,468 also.<\/p>\n

The first of two Finnish stars, Eelis Parssinen<\/strong>, was the final table\u2019s first casualty. He soon gained some company on the sidelines in the share of Mark Radoja<\/strong> and that man Pascal Lefrancois<\/strong>. Parssinen\u2019s fellow Finn, Sami Kelopuro<\/strong>, crashed out in fifth for $57,064 before Jans Arends<\/strong> saw his tournament conclude in fourth-place for $80,927.<\/p>\n

Our very own Kristen Bicknell<\/strong>\u2019s hopes of victory were dashed when she fell in third. It was a result worth $109,459, the first six-figure prize of the tournament. Bicknell\u2019s demise left former MILLIONS Online champion Jon Van Fleet<\/strong> and Hungary\u2019s Laszlo Bujtas<\/strong> to lock horns one-on-one. Van Fleet came out on top after much butting of heads, and he banked $211,552, leaving Bujtas to net $153,554.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
