The top six finishers won a share of the $1,150,000 prize pool, with our hero Haxton banking the largest sum of the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the world\u2019s elite grinders entered this tournament but left empty-handed. These included Russian man of the moment <strong>Artur Martirosian<\/strong>, Germany star <strong>Ole Schemion<\/strong>, and partypoker LIVE regular <strong>Sam Greenwood<\/strong>. Estonia\u2019s <strong>Aleksejs Ponakovs<\/strong> was the unfortunate soul who finished in seventh place, bursting the money bubble, and locking up $57,500 for the six surviving players.<\/p>\n<h2>Blom First Main Event Player to Cash<\/h2>\n<p>Swedish legend <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/viktor-blom-wins-again-secures-third-shrb-title.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Viktor Blom<\/strong><\/a> was the first Main Event player to see a return on their investment. Blom came unstuck in sixth-place for $57,500 when he pushed under the gun for five big blinds with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kc.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/4c.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> and Haxton called on the button with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/8c.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/8s.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\">. The <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/2d.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/jd.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/4s.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/jh.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/5s.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> board was no help for Blom and his tournament ended.<\/p>\n<p><strong>George Wolff<\/strong> busted in fifth for $80,500 after losing a battle of the blinds with <strong>Wiktor Malinowkski<\/strong>. Malinowski raised all in from the small blind with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ac.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kh.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> and Wolff called off his remaining 10 big blinds with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/4h.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/4c.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\">. An ace on the flop was enough to reduce the player count by one.<\/p>\n<p>Malinowski was the next player to fall despite picking up Wolff\u2019s stack. It was something of a cooler hand for a four-handed table that sent Malinowski home. Malinowski raised to 3,000,000 on the button leaving himself a shade over 600,000 chips behind. He made the raise with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ah.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/qd.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\">. <strong>Sergi Reixach<\/strong> called in the small blind with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kd.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kc.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\">. A <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/6c.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kh.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/as.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> flop saw Reixach jam and Malinowski call in what was a very expensive cooler hand.<\/p>\n<p>You need a lot of luck to win a poker tournament and Haxton must have known this as his event when he sent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/lefrancois-bags-second-poker-masters-title.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Pascal Lefrancois<\/strong><\/a> home in third in dramatic circumstances. Haxton open-shoved from the small blind with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/jd.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/8d.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> and Lefrancois called off his last 15 big blinds with the dominating <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ad.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/jc.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\">. Lefrancois looked set for a double when the flop fell <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ks.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/4c.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/4d.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\">. The <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kd.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> turn gave Haxton outs to a diamond flush, but it was the <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/8c.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> that improved his hand and sent his Canadian opponent to the showers.<\/p>\n<h2>Haxton and Reixach Lock Horns Heads-Up<\/h2>\n<p>Haxton held a 31,209,500 to 14,790,500 lead over Reixach going into the one-on-one battle with blinds at 200,000\/400,000\/50,000a. Despite this, it still took more than an hour to settle the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>The final hand saw Haxton set Reixach all-in for his last 4.25 big blinds with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/jc.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/3d.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> and the UK-based Spaniard called with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/9d.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/6c.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\">. Some 229-players were involved on the final day and 32 of those won at least $11,049.<\/p>\n<p>Former <a href=\"https:\/\/partypokerlive.com\/en\/event\/millions-online\/overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>MILLIONS Online<\/strong><\/a> champion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/jon-van-fleet-wins-5-million-guaranteed-millions-online-event.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Jon Van Fleet<\/strong><\/a> was the bubble boy in this event, paving the way for the likes of <strong>Patrick Leonard<\/strong>,<strong> Josip Simunic<\/strong>, <strong>Niklas Astedt<\/strong>, <strong>Christian Jeppsson<\/strong>, and <strong>Artur Martirosian<\/strong> to cash.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wiktor Malinowski<\/strong> reached the Main Event final table and this event\u2019s too. The German won $24,436 for his eighth-place exit. Haxton then fell by the wayside in seventh for $32,936. Haxton\u2019s teammate, <strong>Dzmitry Urbanovich<\/strong>, managed to hold firm until fifth-place, which netted him $58,435.<\/p>\n<p>Eventually, <strong>Pablo Brito Silva<\/strong> of Brazil, winner of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/pedro-silva-triumphs-in-the-partypoker-live-south-america-main-event.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>partypoker LIVE South America Main Event<\/strong><\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/brazils-pablo-brito-silva-wins-2020-irish-open-main-event.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>2020 Irish Open Online Main Event<\/strong><\/a>, defeated <strong>Andrew Pantling<\/strong> heads-up for the title and the $216,635 top prize.<\/p>\n<h2>Badziakouski Second in the Mix-Max<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-87090\" src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/49086621036_2a43037ace_k-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/49086621036_2a43037ace_k-1-300x200@2x.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/49086621036_2a43037ace_k-1-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Haxton almost cashed again when he entered the <strong>$10,300 Mix-Max 2nd Chance<\/strong>, but he was the unfortunate bubble boy, busting in 10th. His fellow Team partypoker member <strong>Jason Koon<\/strong> banked a $23,636 prize, while Reixach and Blom also cashed.<\/p>\n<p>By the time heads-up was reached, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/nikita-bodyakovskiy\"><strong>Mikita Badziakouski<\/strong><\/a> and <strong>Thomas Muehloecker<\/strong> were both guaranteed six-figure hauls. Sadly, for Badziakouski at least, he had to make do with the smaller $146,250 runner-up prize.
