The $3 million guaranteed Super High Roller Bowl<\/strong> kicked off at partypoker on June 1 and it surpassed all expectations. Some 50 players bought in for $102,000 by the time late registration closed, resulting in a $5 million prize pool!<\/p>\n

Only 13 of those starters made it through to Day 2 on June 2 and only seven of those will walk away with a share of that monster-sized prize pool.<\/p>\n

Ali Imsirovic<\/strong><\/a> is the man who leads those 13 players back into battle when play resumes at 20:00 CET on June 2. Imsirovic finished the night with a 2,226,009 stack and the title of chip leader. Imsirovic went on a late surge to pip David Peters<\/strong> to the overnight chip lead.<\/p>\n

Peters had led for most of the night and bagged up 2,107,400 chips when the curtain came down on Day 1\u2019s proceedings.<\/p>\n

The rest of the 11 survivors read like a who\u2019s who of poker.<\/p>\n

Former MILLIONS Online champion Jon Van Fleet<\/strong><\/a> returns to the fray third in chips. He\u2019s joined by Linus Loeliger<\/strong><\/a>, and Poker Central\u2019s Dan Shak<\/strong>. Sam Greenwood<\/strong>, Justin Bonomo<\/strong>, Michael Addamo<\/strong>, and Alex Foxen<\/strong> are also through and in the hunt for the $1,775,000 top prize.<\/p>\n

While 13 players punched their tickets to Day 2, this means 37 players fell by the wayside.<\/p>\n

Ukraine\u2019s Pavel Veksler<\/strong> won his $102,000 seat in the Super High Roller Bowl satellite but he didn\u2019t get out of first gear and was the first player sent to the showers.<\/p>\n

Stephen Chidwick<\/strong>\u2019s trip aces were no match for the full house of Sergi Reixach and the British superstar became another early casualty.<\/p>\n

Team partypoker was well represented but, sadly, none of them made it through the shark-infested waters of Day 1.<\/p>\n

Mikita Badziakouski<\/strong><\/a> crashed out. Isaac Haxton<\/strong><\/a> fared a little better until he three-bet all-in with queen-jack and ran straight into Linus Loeliger<\/strong>\u2019s pocket rockets. Kristen Bicknell<\/strong> busted at the hands of Sam Greenwood<\/strong> before Jason Koon<\/strong>\u2019s queen-jack couldn\u2019t get there against the ace-king of Jon Van Fleet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Koon busted in 14th place and was the final exit of the night.<\/p>\n

$1,775,000 Awaits the Champion<\/h2>\n

The top seven players receive a share of the $5 million prize pool. This means finishing in eighth-place is going to be costly because the bubble is $212,500<\/strong>! Here are what the returning players are grinding their hearts out for.<\/p>\n
