The $5 million guaranteed WPT Online Championship<\/strong> has reached its eight-handed final table and what a final table it\u2019s turned out to be. On May 20, those eight players return to the partypoker virtual felt and compete for a gargantuan top prize worth $1,048,087.<\/p>\n

Thirty-four players sat down on the penultimate day of the WPT Online Championship with Sam Greenwood<\/strong><\/a> leading the way. The field gradually whittled down with the likes of Max Silver<\/strong>, Simon Higgins<\/strong>, former WSOP Main Event champion Martin Jacobson<\/strong>, Matthias Eibinger<\/strong>, and Ami Barer<\/strong> busting.<\/p>\n

Belarus\u2019s Dmitry Yurasov<\/strong> was the ninth-place finisher. He collected $51,120 and his exit set the official final table.<\/p>\n

Swedish star Christian Jeppsson<\/strong> is the man to catch going into the final table. The Swede has a shade over 17.5 million chips in his arsenal. Only seven opponents stand between him and $1,048,087. Each of those opponents has reached this Stellar final table on merit and any of them will be a worthy champion.<\/p>\n

Sam Greenwood<\/strong> returns second in chips with a stack of 16 million while Pascal Hartmann<\/strong><\/a> is in a healthy position, sitting down with almost 15 million chips, enough for third-place.<\/p>\n

Alexander Clark<\/strong> has 14.4 million chips with everyone else sitting behind between 2.2 million and 9.1 million betting tokens.<\/p>\n

WPT #43 \u2013 High Roller: $1M Gtd<\/h2>\n

Another huge WPT Online Series event that\u2019s reached its final table is the latest $10,300 High Roller. Only eight of the 101 starters remain in the hunt for the near $250,000 top prize.<\/p>\n

Andras Nemeth finds himself in the familiar position of chip leader at the business end of a major online poker tournament. Nemeth finished Day 1 with 911,709 chips in his stack, over 22 big blinds more than his nearest rival Daniil Kiselev<\/strong> of Russia.<\/p>\n

Bringing up the rear when play resumes at 20:00 CET is Dan Smith<\/strong>. You may recall Smith won the $25,500 Super High Roller<\/strong><\/a> earlier in the week. Joining this trio are such luminaries as Jorma Nuutinen<\/strong>, David Peters<\/strong>, Fabrizio Gonzalez<\/strong>, David Gent<\/strong> and Mark Davies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
