The <strong>$5 million guaranteed WPT Online Series Championship<\/strong> also kicked off with the first of four starting flights.<\/p>\n<h2>WPT #15 \u2013 Weekender Final Day: $500K Gtd<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-84984\" src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/event-15-600x447.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"447\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/event-15-300x224@2x.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/event-15-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/event-15.jpg 798w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The $1,050 Weekender\u2019s final day took place on May 10 and saw the 125 players who made it through from the start days fight it out for a slice of the $979,000 pie. Only 104 of those returning players banked some cash with Croatia\u2019s <strong>Ivan Zufic<\/strong> bursting the money bubble.<\/p>\n<p>The likes of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/william-foxen-among-the-first-poker-master-online-championship.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Alex Foxen<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>Simon Mattsson<\/strong>, <strong>Sylvain Loosli<\/strong>, <strong>Toby Lewis<\/strong>, <strong>David Peters<\/strong>, and Team partypoker\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/powerfest-round-up-two-final-tables-for-romanello.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Roberto Romanello<\/strong><\/a> made it into the money. As did <strong>Mark Radoja<\/strong>, <strong>Scott Margereson<\/strong>, <strong>Simon Deadman<\/strong>, <strong>Steven Van Zadelhoff<\/strong>, and <strong>Ankush Mandavia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Each of the eight finalists guaranteed themselves a $14,293 payday. This is the sum <strong>Javier Zarco<\/strong> banked when he fell in eighth place. <strong>Jens Lakemeier<\/strong>, <strong>Stefan Schillhabe<\/strong>, and <strong>Manig Loeser<\/strong> were the next casualties, the latter securing a $39,943 payday.<\/p>\n<p>Fourth-place and $56,586 went to <strong>Frederik Andersson<\/strong> before Morocco&#8217;s <strong>Sonny Franco<\/strong> saw his tournament end in third, a finish worth $83,508.<\/p>\n<p>Franco\u2019s exit set up a mouth-watering clash between <strong>Tyler Goatcher<\/strong> of the United Kingdom and <strong>Niklas Astedt<\/strong> of Sweden. Goatcher enjoyed a super-impressive POWERFEST by winning three titles. He couldn\u2019t quite get the job done this time against the world\u2019s number one online poker tournament player.<\/p>\n<p>Goatcher had to settle for the $124,333 second-place prize, which left Astedt to add another $174,751 to his lifetime winnings.<\/p>\n<h2>WPT #15 \u2013 Mini Weekender Final Day: $200K Gtd<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-84990\" src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/mini-event-15-600x447.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"447\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/mini-event-15-300x224@2x.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/mini-event-15-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/mini-event-15.jpg 798w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Mini Weekender was anything but mini with a $409,500 prize pool created despite the guarantee being $200,000.<\/p>\n<p>Canada\u2019s <strong>Matthew Wilkins<\/strong> was the main beneficiary of this massive pot as he was the last man standing. His rewards? $63,285 for his $109 investment. Wilkins secured this prize after busting Brazil\u2019s <strong>Julio Fantin<\/strong> heads-up. The Brazilian walked away with $44,348.<\/p>\n<p>This victory was made all the more sweeter for Wilkins as it avenged some demons from February. Wilkin made it all the way to third-place in the C$1,100 WPT Fallsview event and won C$105,262 but narrowly missed out on a WPT title. Now he has one to his name plus a decent chunk of cash to boot.<\/p>\n<h2>WPT #21 \u2013 Mix-Max Turbo Bounty: $300K Gtd<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-84996\" src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/event-21-600x447.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"447\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/event-21-300x224@2x.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/event-21-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/event-21.jpg 798w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A star-studded final table was assembled in the WPT #21 \u2013 Mix-Max Turbo Bounty: $300K Gtd and Russia\u2019s <strong>Viktor Ustimov<\/strong> was the man who got his hands on the lion\u2019s share of the $326,000 prize pool.<\/p>\n<p>Ustimov won $26,909 for his first-place finish and an additional $35,195 worth of bounty payments. Ustimov defeated Swedish star <strong>Robin Berggren<\/strong> heads-up for the title. The Swedish runner-up won $28,751 with bounties included.<\/p>\n<p>Shoutouts to the British duo <strong>Simon Deadman<\/strong> and <strong>Luke Reeves<\/strong> who finished in fourth and third-place respectively. Deadman saw his bankroll swell by $15,669 with Reeves reeling in $24,404 in total.<\/p>\n<h2>WPT #20 \u2013 WPT Online Championship Day 1A: $5M Gtd<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-85002\" src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/mini-event-21-600x447.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"447\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/mini-event-21-300x224@2x.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/mini-event-21-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/mini-event-21.jpg 798w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The WPT Online Championship kicked off with the first of four flights and saw 808 players exchange $3,200 for the chance to win this incredible event. This means $2,424,000 of the $5 million guarantee has already been collected.<\/p>\n<p>Netherlands\u2019 <strong>Abdelhakim Zoufri<\/strong> is the man to catch after the conclusion of Day 1A. He finished the night with 791,877 chips in front of him. Canada\u2019s <strong>Kevin Macdonald<\/strong> is second in chips right now thanks to his 668,081 stack.<\/p>\n<p>Plenty of well-known, household names punched their Day 2 tickets. Keep an eye out for such luminaries as <strong>Benny Glaser<\/strong> (548,623), <strong>Guillaume Nolet<\/strong> (443,152), <strong>Simon Higgins<\/strong> (436,550), and <strong>Timothy Adams<\/strong> (374,556) in the chip counts.<\/p>\n<p>Also through are <strong>David Kitai<\/strong> (330,311), <strong>Michael Addamo<\/strong> (288,534), and <strong>Artur Martiosian<\/strong> (254,734).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/josip-simunic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Josip Simunic<\/strong><\/a> (258,040) built the biggest stack of the Team partypoker.
