Players from around the world continue to support this superb festival, resulting in guarantees being exceeded.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s see who got their hands on titles and bankroll-boosting sums of money on Day 3 of the WPT Online Series.<\/p>\n<h2>WPT #06 \u2013 PLO High Roller: $500K Gtd<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>$5,200 buy-in PLO High Roller<\/strong> attracted a crowd of 101 players including a handful of Team partypoker members. One of those, the one and only <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/sam-trickett\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Sam Trickett<\/strong><\/a>, fell just shy of the final table, busting in seventh-place for $16,160.<\/p>\n<p>Trickett\u2019s demise meant the six finalists were guaranteed $20,957. This is the sum banked by Lebanon\u2019s <strong>Mark Demirjian<\/strong> who busted in sixth. Finnish star <strong>Lauri Varonen<\/strong> was the next casualty, his fifth-place finish yielding $31,562.<\/p>\n<p>Canada\u2019s <strong>Matthew Wantman<\/strong> was the next to fall. He got his hands on $43,430. <strong>Rui Ferreira<\/strong> is no stranger to these big buy-in events and he put in another impressive performance which ended in a third-place finish for $60,600.<\/p>\n<p>Heads-up saw <strong>Veselin Karakitukov<\/strong> and <strong>Ola Amundsgaard<\/strong> fight one-on-one for the title. They were joined by <strong>Shawn Buchanan<\/strong> and Frenchman <strong>Sylvain Loosli<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Joao Ferreira<\/strong> reached yet another final table. This one ended in a fourth-place finish that saw his bankroll swell by $42,471.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/samuel-vousden-banks-520000-in-the-poker-masters.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Samuel Vousden<\/strong><\/a> busted in third for $60,489, which left <strong>Kfir Ivgi<\/strong> of the United Kingdom and Adamszki to play for the title and the lion\u2019s share of the prize pool. A cool $246,900 was paid out with the likes of <strong>Joe Serock<\/strong>, <strong>Alex Lynskey<\/strong>, <strong>Bruno Volkmann<\/strong>, and <strong>Johan Van til<\/strong> getting their hands on some prize money.<\/p>\n<p>It was Sowa who netted the largest reward, $41,652, and he can now brag about being a WPT Online Series champion. The German defeated <strong>Henol Tekle Mariam<\/strong> of the Netherlands when the tournament was heads-up. That sum was bolstered by $6,761 worth of bounty payments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jasper Wagemakers<\/strong> was the tournament\u2019s runner-up. It was a name familiar to poker fans around the world who finished at the top of the payout table.<\/p>\n<p>Denmark\u2019s <strong>Jesper Hougaard<\/strong> has been a professional poker player for many years and is known for winning a WSOP bracelet at both the Las Vegas festival and WSOP Europe festival in 2008, becoming the first player to win in Vegas and London.<\/p>\n<p>Now Hougaard has a WPT Online Series title to his name plus a combined prize worth $43,181.
