Ryan Schoonbaert of our Twitch Team also found himself in the limelight in a high stakes PLO tournament.<\/p>\n<h2>POWERFEST: $60K Gtd NLHE 8-Max Deepstack<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-84180\" src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Rom-3rd-600x447.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"447\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Rom-3rd-300x224@2x.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Rom-3rd-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Rom-3rd.jpg 798w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Romanello\u2019s first final table appearance of the night came in the $530 buy-in <strong>$60K Gtd 8-Max Deepstack<\/strong>. A field of 121 players bought in and created a $60,500 prize pool that was shared among the top 16 finishers.<\/p>\n<p>A host of stars made it into the money, including <strong>David Lopez<\/strong> and <strong>Pascal Hartmann<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ole Schemion<\/strong> reached the final table but his stay three was short-lived, ending in eighth-place for $1,966.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ian O\u2019Hara<\/strong>, <strong>Anton Yakuba<\/strong> and <strong>Philip Curtis<\/strong> crashed out before <strong>Ivan Gabrieli<\/strong> fell in fourth place. Romanello\u2019s run ended in a third-place finish that weighed in at $7,562. This set up a heads-up clash between Russia\u2019s <strong>Alexandr Trofimov<\/strong> and Canada\u2019s <strong>Alexandry Baron<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It was the Canadian who came out of the battle with the lion\u2019s share of the prize pool, namely $14,822, leaving the Russian to pad his bankroll with $10,857.<\/p>\n<h2>POWERFEST: $20K Gtd PLO8 6-Max PKO<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-84186\" src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/rom-2nd-600x447.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"447\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/rom-2nd-300x224@2x.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/rom-2nd-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/rom-2nd.jpg 798w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Romanello came even closer to a POWERFEST victory in the $530 buy-in <strong>PLO8 6-Max PKO<\/strong> event. The Welsh Wizard made it all the way to heads-up where he lost to Russian grinder <strong>Daniil Shalaev<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Our hero netted $2,996 from the main prize pool plus $525 worth of bounties. The champion helped himself to a similar $2,998 top prize, but this was bolstered by $4,926 from the bounty prize pool.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the tournament, Romanello\u2019s brother Nicholas cashed in eighth-place, <strong>Timothy Chung<\/strong> fell in seventh, and <strong>Alan \u201cAri\u201d Engel<\/strong> placed sixth.<\/p>\n<h2>POWERFEST: $15K Gtd PLO 6-Max PKO<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-84192\" src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/ryan-3rd-600x447.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"447\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/ryan-3rd-300x224@2x.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/ryan-3rd-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/ryan-3rd.jpg 798w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Team Online\u2019s <strong>Ryan Schoonbaert<\/strong> loves mixed games and it certainly showed in the $15K Gtd PLO 6-Max PKO. Schoonbaert was one of 88-entrants in the $215 buy-in event and he almost outlasted them all.<\/p>\n<p>The popular Canadian finally ran out of steam in third-place, a finish worth a combined $2,047 with bounties taken into account. The only players that lasted longer than Schoonbaert were high stakes specialist <strong>Sami Kelopuro<\/strong> and his fellow Finn <strong>Tuomas Ranta<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Kelopuro fell in second-place for a prize worth $2,763 with Ranta winning $4,667.<\/p>\n<h2>SPINS Your Way To Glory<\/h2>\n<p>More massive events are coming your way this week thanks to POWERFEST being extended until April 19th!
