It was an incredible result for one of the game\u2019s most highly rated poker tournament players. Here\u2019s how things went down.<\/p>\n<h2>Poker Masters #29: $2M Gtd NLHE 8-Max Main Event<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-84086\" src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/event-29-600x447.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"447\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/event-29-300x224@2x.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/event-29-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/event-29.jpg 798w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Poker Masters Main Event commanded a $51,000 buy-in but that didn\u2019t prevent 77-players taking part. This crowd created a $3,850,000 prize pool that was almost double the advertised $2 million guarantee.<\/p>\n<p>Only the final 10 players got their hands on a slice of this juicy prize pool. One of our own, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/sam-trickett\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Sam Trickett<\/strong><\/a>, fell short of the money, busting in 13th place. The unfortunate bubble boy was Lebanon\u2019s <strong>Karim Khayat<\/strong> whose 11th place exit locked up at least $154,000 for the 10 surviving players.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicent Bosca Ramon<\/strong> and <strong>Conor Beresford<\/strong> were the players who won this sum, Beresford\u2019s exit setting a ridiculously tough final table.<\/p>\n<p>Australian star <strong>Kahle Burns<\/strong> was the first finalists to bust. The Aussie got his hands on $163,625. <strong>David Peters<\/strong> and Finland\u2019s <strong>Elias Talvitie<\/strong> were the next two casualties. They padded their partypoker bankrolls with $182,875 and $211,750 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Fifth-place and $269,500 went to <strong>Ole Schemion<\/strong> and he was joined on the sidelines by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/steve-odwyer-and-pauli-ayras-secure-huge-poker-masters-scores.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Steve O\u2019Dwyer<\/strong><\/a> who collected $346,500.<\/p>\n<p>Any of the final three players would have been a worthy champion. Each of that trio was also guaranteed to take home more than half a million dollars.<\/p>\n<p>Three became two when <strong>Chris Kruk<\/strong> crashed out in third for $519,750. This set up a heads-up battle between <strong>Giuseppe Iadisernia<\/strong> and <strong>Linus Loeliger<\/strong>. Almost $350,000 was the difference between first and second-place prize money, but the superstars didn\u2019t let that faze them.<\/p>\n<p>A lack of a deal meant Iadisernia scooped $750,750 when he fell in second-place, which left Loeliger to turn his initial investment into the tournament\u2019s only seven-figure prize, namely $1,097,250.<\/p>\n<h2>Poker Masters #30: $500K Gtd NLHE 6-Max<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-84092\" src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/event-30-600x447.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"447\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/event-30-300x224@2x.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/event-30-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/event-30.jpg 798w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The final event of the Poker masters online was another guarantee buster. Some 146 players ponied up $10,300 to smash the $500,000 guarantee by almost $1 million!<\/p>\n<p>Eighteen spots were paid, with Team partypoker\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/isaac-haxton\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Isaac Haxton<\/strong><\/a> falling in 22nd place and narrowly missing out on a score. <strong>Niklas Astedt<\/strong> finished in 20th with <strong>Daniel Dvoress<\/strong> helping himself to the unwanted title of bubble boy.<\/p>\n<p>Places 13-18 all secured $26,789. Among those collecting this sum were <strong>Steve O\u2019Dwyer<\/strong>, <strong>Connor Drinan<\/strong>, <strong>Chris Hunichen<\/strong>, and <strong>Ben Heath<\/strong>. Poker Central\u2019s own <strong>Dan Shak<\/strong> won $31,390 for his 12th place exit, with 2019 WSOP Main Event champion <strong>Hossein Ensan<\/strong> falling in 10th for $31,390 too.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mark Radoja<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/samuel-vousden-banks-520000-in-the-poker-masters.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Samuel Vousden<\/strong><\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/lefrancois-bags-second-poker-masters-title.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Pascal Lefrancois<\/strong><\/a> all crashed out to leave only six players in the hunt for the $367,782 top prize.<\/p>\n<p>Those six became five when <strong>Chris Kruk<\/strong> busted. Russia\u2019s <strong>Artur Martirosian<\/strong> ran out of steam in fifth place and walked away with $91,250, the final five-figure prize of the event.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/kanit-and-imsirovic-bank-another-poker-masters-title.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Mustapha Kanit<\/strong><\/a> collected a cool $124,100 for his fourth-place exit, before Lebanon\u2019s <strong>Mark Demirijan<\/strong> busted in third for $175,200.<\/p>\n<p>Heads-up saw <strong>Alexandros Kolonias<\/strong> and <strong>Jason McConnon<\/strong> fight it out for the lion\u2019s share of the prize pool. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/alexandros-kolonias-becomes-a-poker-masters-champion.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kolonias already had a Poker Masters title<\/a> to his name and won another by sweeping aside his opponent. Kolonias banked $367,782 with McConnon winning $248,200.<\/p>\n<h2>Kolonias Wins Poker Masters Online Chamionship<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-84098\" src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/32497134367_215fc9740b_c1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/32497134367_215fc9740b_c1-300x200@2x.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/32497134367_215fc9740b_c1-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Everyone who cashed in a Poker Masters online event was awarded leaderboard points in addition to prize money. The player who earned the most points secure an additional $50,000 payment plus the famous Poker Masters purple jacket.<\/p>\n<p>Kolonias\u2019 victory in the final event locked up these extra prizes. The Greek star cashed 11 times, including two victories, and won $1,266,296.
