It must be the six-handed format that the French-Canadian loves because he took down the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/jouhkimainen-and-lefrancois-land-poker-masters-titles.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>$500K Gtd NLHE 6-Max<\/strong><\/a> last week and yesterday won the $25,500 PLO 6-Max!<\/p>\n<h2>Poker Masters #23: $1M Gtd PLO 6-Max<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-83876\" src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/event-23-600x447.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"447\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/event-23-300x224@2x.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/event-23-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/event-23.jpg 798w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The 23rd Poker Masters event on the schedule was a <strong>$25,500 buy-in PLO 6-Max<\/strong> tournament that came with a whopping $1 million guarantee. Sixty-one entries resulted in a $1,525,000 prize pool that was shared among the top nine finishers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ami Barer<\/strong> burst the bubble, his 10th place exit paving the way for the remaining players to walk away with at least $55,455 for their efforts. <strong>George Wolff<\/strong>, <strong>Christopher Frank<\/strong> and <strong>Evan Mathis<\/strong> won this sum.<\/p>\n<p>Finland\u2019s <strong>Aku Joentausta<\/strong> collected $68,625 for his sixth-place finish before Ioannis Kontonastsios fell in fifth and banked $99.,125.<\/p>\n<p>The first six-figure prize went to fourth-place finisher <strong>Pedro Zagalo<\/strong> who won $137,250. Zagalo was joined on the rail by Norway\u2019s <strong>Andreas Torbergsen<\/strong> who scooped an impressive $183,000.<\/p>\n<p>Heads-up saw <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/poker-masters-victories-for-watson-and-nemeth.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Andras Nemeth<\/strong><\/a> and Lefrancois butt heads over the not so small matter of a $527,509 top prize. Lefrancois secured this incredible sum by defeating Nemeth one-on-one, leaving Nemeth to bank $343,125.<\/p>\n<h2>Poker Masters #24: $500K Gtd NLHE 6-Max<\/h2>\n<p>Another ridiculously stacked field descended on the 24th Poker masters event, a <strong>$10,300 buy-in NLHE 6-Max<\/strong> affair with $500,000 guaranteed. Some 110 entries meant the top 18 finishers battled it out for a slice of the $1,100,000 prize pool.<\/p>\n<p>Dutchman <strong>Joryyt Van Hoof<\/strong> has enjoyed a success Poker Masters series so far but he got his hands on the unwanted title of bubble boy in this event. Just look at some of the stellar names that made it into the money places: <strong>Artur Martirosian<\/strong>, <strong>Ole Schemion<\/strong>, <strong>Andras Nemeth<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/alexandros-kolonias-becomes-a-poker-masters-champion.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Alexandros Kolonias<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/2020-irish-open-massive-turn-out-for-day-1a-vieira-wins-e2k-high-roller.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Joao Vieira<\/a>, <strong>Sami Kelopuro<\/strong> and our own <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/powerfest-round-up-fts-for-leonard-gross-and-simunic.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Patrick Leonard<\/strong><\/a>! Wow! It\u2019s fantastic seeing these players grinding it out on partypoker.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Luuk Gieles<\/strong> and <strong>Bujtas Laszlo<\/strong> were the two players who fell just before the six-handed final table.<\/p>\n<p>Team partypoker\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/powerfest-round-up-jouhkimainen-locks-up-mix-max-title.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Joni Jouhkimainen<\/strong><\/a> racked up yet another final table appearance for himself, although this one ended in sixth-place, a finish worth $45,650. <strong>Vicent Ramon<\/strong> (68,750) joined our hero on the rail before <strong>Sam Greenwood<\/strong> ran out of steam and walked away with the $93,500 fourth-place prize.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dario Sammartino<\/strong>\u2019s latest cash weighed in at $132,000, his reward for a third-place exit. This left the United Kingdom\u2019s <strong>Ben Jones<\/strong> and <strong>Ali Imsirovic<\/strong> to fight it out of the lion\u2019s share of the prize pool.
