The lure of playing for big money and against the world\u2019s elite grinders is extremely strong.<\/p>\n<p>Two more $10,300 buy-in Poker Masters events crowned their champions last night. Both those champions hail from sunny Australia, although both now reside elsewhere. Who as the Aussie one-two? Let\u2019s find out.<\/p>\n<h2>Poker Masters #10: $500K Gtd NLHE 8-Max<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-83421\" src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/event-10-600x447.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"447\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/event-10-300x224@2x.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/event-10-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/event-10.jpg 798w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>$500,000 was guaranteed to be won in Event #10 but 119-entries meant $1,190,000 was shared out. The top 16 finishers grabbed a slice of that ample pie. Spare a though for Finland\u2019s <strong>Pauli Ayras<\/strong>, however, as he fell in 17th place, the last player to head home empty-handed.<\/p>\n<p>Such luminaries as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/2017-caribbean-poker-party-day-5-chris-hunichen-wins-super-high-roller.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Chris Hunichen<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/poker-masters-victories-for-watson-and-nemeth.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Mike Watson<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>Timothy Adams<\/strong>, <strong>Thomas Muehloecker<\/strong>, and <strong>Ben Heath<\/strong> made it into the money places but fell short of final table appearance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicent Bosca Ramon<\/strong> was the first finalist to bust. Eighth-place yielded $38,675. Ramon was joined on the rail by <strong>Edwin Villalobos Amaya<\/strong> and <strong>Wiktor Malinowski<\/strong>, the latter\u2019s sixth-place resulting in a $59,500 score.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/2020-irish-open-massive-turn-out-for-day-1a-vieira-wins-e2k-high-roller.html\"><strong>Joao Vieira<\/strong><\/a> collected $77,350 for his fifth-place exit before Austria-based Italian <strong>Gianluca Speranza<\/strong> secured the first six-figure prize of the tournament, namely $104,125.<\/p>\n<p>Heads-up was set when <strong>Eelis Parssinen<\/strong> crashed out in third for $148,750. This left Dutchman <strong>Luuk Gieles<\/strong> and Australia\u2019s <strong>Kahle Burns<\/strong>, playing from Mexico, as the only players in the hunt for the $291,550 top prize.<\/p>\n<p>Burns has been in incredible form for the past 18-months or so, meaning it wasn\u2019t a surprise to see him as the last player standing. Burns added another $291,550 to his ever-growing bankroll while Gieles consoled himself with a wallet-filling $208,250.<\/p>\n<h2>Poker Masters #11: $500K Gtd NLHE 6-Max<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-83427\" src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/event-11-600x447.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"447\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/event-11-300x224@2x.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/event-11-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/event-11.jpg 798w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/>The second Poker Masters event on April 16 also had a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool, but the top 12 finishers fought tooth and nail for their share of $940,000.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ben Heath<\/strong>, who won his first WSOP bracelet last summer in a $50,000 buy-in event, exited in 13th and burst the bubble. Heath\u2019s elimination paved the way for <strong>Talal Shakerchi<\/strong>, <strong>Luuk Gieles<\/strong>, and <strong>Jake Schindler<\/strong> to cash, the latter falling in seventh-place for $30,550.<\/p>\n<p>Belarus\u2019 <strong>Aliaksandr Hirs<\/strong> was the first finalist to collect some prize money, namely $39,950. Justin Bonomo followed suit ($58,750) before Cyprus\u2019 <strong>Yahia Fahmy<\/strong> ($82,250) crashed out.<\/p>\n<p>UK-based Dutchman <strong>Jorryt Van Hoof<\/strong> saw his tournament end in third-place for $112,800, leaving <strong>Chris Hunichen<\/strong> and <strong>Michael Addamo<\/strong> (lead image) to battle it out for the top prize of almost $300,000.<\/p>\n<p>Both players are hugely experienced and have clashed dozens of times in major tournament. It was Addamo who came out with bragging rights, and $294,037, this time around. Hunichen, although disappointed not to win, walked away with $183,300.
