Two more of poker\u2019s top players became Poker Masters<\/strong><\/a> champions on April 14 as the series awarded another $1,830,000. Some of the world\u2019s most recognisable poker players descended on partypoker for another night of high stakes action. Here\u2019s how it went down.<\/p>\n

Poker Masters 07: $500K Gtd NLHE 6-Max<\/h2>\n

Greece\u2019s Alexandros Kolonias<\/strong> (pictured) must have a love of partypoker events judging by his previous results. He finished 12 in the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS South America Main Event<\/strong> ($60,000), and fourth in the MILLIONS North America Main Event<\/strong> (C$370,000).<\/p>\n

Kolonias\u2019 last live score weighed in at \u20ac1,133,678 plus a gold bracelet after he won the 2019 WSOP Europe Main Event.<\/p>\n

Now Kolonias has a Poker Masters title to his name after besting a field of 86 players in Event #07 of the online festival.<\/p>\n

German superstar Fedor Holz<\/strong> burst the money bubble in this tournament, falling in 13th place. This secured a payout of at least $23,562 for the remaining 12 hopefuls.
\nJorryt Van Hoof<\/strong>, Timothy Adams<\/strong>, Elio Fox<\/strong>, and Nick Petrangelo<\/strong> all busted in the money places. Ian Engel<\/strong> and Juan Pardo<\/strong> followed suit, the latter bursting the final table bubble.<\/p>\n

Finnish grinder Pauli Ayras<\/strong> collected $36,550 for his sixth-place exit before UK-based Aussie Michael Addamo<\/strong> banked $53,750 when he came unstuck in fifth place.<\/p>\n

Mustapha Kanit<\/strong> once again went deep in a major tournament, his event ending in fourth-place for $75,250. Heads-up was set when Ali Imsirovic<\/strong> crashed out in third, a finish worth $103,200.<\/p>\n

No deal was struck between George Wolff<\/strong> and Kolonias despite there being a $102,000 difference in the payouts. This meant Wolff\u2019s bankroll increased by $167,700 when he lost the heads-up battle, leaving Kolonias to scoop the $269,013 top prize.<\/p>\n

Poker Masters 06 $500K Gtd PLO 6-Max<\/h2>\n

Ninety-seven elite players took part in the Poker Masters 06 $500K Gtd PLO 6-Max<\/strong> and it was Pauli Ayras<\/strong> who outlasted them all to secure a massive $303,421 payout.<\/p>\n

Ayras, who also reached the final table of the NLHE edition of this tournament for $36,550, defeated Jens Lakemeier<\/strong> heads-up to bag the title. Lakemeier had to settle for the still large $189,150 consolation prize.<\/p>\n

The payouts were dominated by Finns with five, including the champion, showing a return on their $10,300 investment. Our own flying Finn, Joni Jouhkimainen<\/strong><\/a> could only manage a 22nd place finish, unfortunately.<\/p>\n

The champion aside, the other Finnish star who cased were Aku Joentausta<\/strong> (11th – $26,576), Jens Kyllonen<\/strong> (10th – $26,576), Lauri Varonen<\/strong> (7th – $31,525), and Samuli Sipila<\/strong> (5th – $60,625).<\/p>\n

Our other finalist who battled hard to reach the final six included Ole Schemion<\/strong>, Jorryt Van Hoof<\/strong> and Ami Barer<\/strong>, the latter padding his bankroll with $116,400.<\/p>\n

Two More Big Events on April 15<\/h2>\n

Two more massive Poker Masters events start at 20:00 CET and 22:00 CET today. The first is a $10,300 buy-in NLHE 8-Max with $500,000 guaranteed<\/strong>. The second one has the same buy-in and guarantee but is played on six-handed tables<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
