The inaugural Poker Masters Online<\/strong><\/a> continued on April 13 with two more high stakes events. This brace of tournaments had combined guarantees weighing in at $1 million, but $1,850,000 was awarded thanks to some of the world\u2019s biggest stars heading to partypoker.<\/p>\n

Michael Watson Wins Poker Masters Event #4<\/h2>\n

The fourth event of the series was a $10,300 buy-in $500,000 Gtd No-Limit Hold\u2019em 8-Max<\/strong> affair that drew in a crowd of 102 entries.<\/p>\n

The tournament didn\u2019t exactly go to plan for Team partypoker\u2019s Roberto Romanello<\/strong><\/a> he busted well before the money. At least he didn\u2019t have to endure finishing in 17th place like Lukas Nowakowski<\/strong> did and receive the unwanted title of bubble boy.<\/p>\n

Nowakowski\u2019s exit locked up $20,400 for the surviving players. This increased to $33,150 by the time the final table was set.<\/p>\n

Pauli Ayras<\/strong> fell in eighth and collected $33,150 before our very own Patrick Leonard<\/strong><\/a> got his hands on the $40,800 seventh-place prize. Leonard was joined on the rail first by Karim Khayat<\/strong> then by Wiktor Malinowski who scooped $51,000 and $66,300 respectively.<\/p>\n

UK-based Turkish high roller Orpen Kisacikoglu<\/strong> finished fourth for $89,250 before Dutchman Jorryt Van Hoof<\/strong> collected the $127,500 third-place prize.<\/p>\n

Heads-up saw two of Canada\u2019s finest lock horns. Michael Watson<\/strong> and Sam Greenwood<\/strong><\/a> fought it out in what was essentially a $71,400 heads-up sit & go as this was the difference in prize money. It was Watson who emerged from the battle victoriously, scooping the $249,900 top prize and leaving Greenwood to win $178,500.<\/p>\n

Andras Nemeth Makes Amends For Irish Open Runner-Up Finish<\/h2>\n

Hungarian superstar Andras Nemeth<\/strong> made up for falling at the final hurdle of the 2020 Irish Open Main Event<\/strong><\/a> by taking down the Poker Masters Event #05: $500K Gtd No-Limit Hold\u2019em 6-Max<\/strong>. Nemeth won \u20ac325,422 for his second-place finish in the Irish Open, this victory saw his bankroll swell by $259,628.<\/p>\n

Nemeth got his hands on the top prize after defeating Kisacikoglu heads-up; the Turkish runner-up netted a healthy $161,850.<\/p>\n

Earlier at the final table, Sami Kelopuro<\/strong> busted in sixth for $35,275 and Poker Central\u2019s own Dan Shak<\/strong> collected $51,875 for a fifth-place exit.<\/p>\n

Germany legend Fedor Holz<\/strong> banked the $72,625 fourth-place prize and Eelis Parssinen<\/strong> got his hands on $99,600 when he crashed out in third place.<\/p>\n

Shout out to our own Joni Jouhkimainen<\/strong><\/a> who missed out on a final table appearance but still won $26,975 courtesy of finishing in ninth place.<\/p>\n

Two More Huge Events on April 14<\/h2>\n

Two more events kick off today, April 14, and you could be playing in them.<\/p>\n

Event #06 is a $10,300 buy-in PLO tournament with a cool $500,000 guaranteed prize pool. Cards are in the air there at 20:00 CET.<\/p>\n

The seventh event of the series starts two hours later at 22:00 CET and is a $10,300 NLHE 6-Max tournament, again with $500,000 guaranteed.<\/p>\n
