Krist finished Day 1A of the Main Event with a tournament-leading 328,011 chips. <strong>Robert Bickley<\/strong> of the United Kingdom was the only other player to bag up more than 300,000 chips at the close of play.<\/p>\n<p>A trio of stellar names also bagged up top 10 stacks. <strong>Calvin Anderson<\/strong> (222,410) is one of the most respected and feared tournament players of his generation. Swedish legend <strong>Simon Mattsson<\/strong> was the first player to bust from the final table, his eighth-place finish netting him \u20ac9,240.<\/p>\n<p>Finnish superstar <strong>Juha Helppi<\/strong> fell in seventh before <strong>Guntis Aleskins<\/strong> and <strong>Elliot Smith<\/strong> crashed out to leave only four players in the hunt for the title. Those four became three when <strong>Wilhelm Isaak<\/strong> busted and scooped \u20ac26,180.<\/p>\n<p>Heads-up was set when <strong>Aaron Vanblarcum<\/strong> fell by the wayside in third, a result worth \u20ac36,960.<\/p>\n<p>Vieira and <strong>Simon Higgins<\/strong> locked horns heads-up in a battle for the lion\u2019s share of the prize pool. No deal was struck despite there being a \u20ac20,000 difference between first and second place.
