Sunday 22 March was a massive day for POWERFEST<\/strong> with more than $7 million awarded to our players<\/strong>. Seven million dollars! How amazing is that? Thousands of players padded their partypoker bankrolls. These are the biggest winners of the weekend.<\/p>\n

POWERFEST #70-SHR: $1M Gtd Phase Final<\/h2>\n

If you ever needed proof out phased tournaments are incredible value this is it. POWERFEST #70-SHR: $1M Gtd Phase<\/strong> saw its already large guarantee smashed by $342,535!<\/p>\n

Three-hundred-and-eight players competed in the $5,200 final phase and 40 of them received a slice of the $1,342,535 prize pool.<\/p>\n

Team partypoker pros Roberto \u201cR_Romanello\u201d Romanello<\/strong> (48th) and Joni \u201cJJouhki\u201d Jouhkimainen<\/strong><\/a> (43rd) came close to cashing but ultimately missed out.<\/p>\n

Sam \u201cSamTrickett\u201d Trickett<\/strong><\/a> (38th – $10,471) and Jason \u201cJason_Koon\u201d Koon<\/strong><\/a> (11th – $20,809) did see a return on their investments.<\/p>\n

Each of the eight finalists banked at least $26,850. \u201cic_fc_fish_pro\u201d<\/strong> banked this sum when they crashed out in eighth place.<\/p>\n

\u201ctdlvechicknbn\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cDasIstMirWurst\u201d<\/strong> were the next casualties. They scooped $36,919 and $52,358 respectively.<\/p>\n

Fifth-place and $69,811 went to \u201cCaptainJack75\u201d<\/strong> before \u201cFedor_Holz\u201d<\/strong> busted in fourth for $98,676. This meant the final three players locked up six-figure prizes.<\/p>\n

The first of those went to \u201cEmpireMaker\u201d<\/strong> whose third-place exit was worth $135,596. Their exit set up a one-on-one encounter between \u201cPunchlineEnBata\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cLittleRussia\u201d<\/strong>. The former stormed into the lead, one that turned out to be unassailable as they walked away with the gargantuan $267,164 top prize, leaving the runner-up to get their hands on $193,325.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

POWERFEST #71-HR: $400K Gtd Phase Final<\/h2>\n

The POWERFEST #71-HR: $400K Gtd Phase Final<\/strong> was another huge event with a $551,350 prize pool created. Team partypoker\u2019s Patrick \u201cPatrick_Leonard\u201d Leonard<\/strong><\/a> came close to a final table appearance but fell in 13th place for a $4,079 score.<\/p>\n

\u201cOMGKentaNuts\u201d<\/strong> was the last player standing, turning their $530 into a massive $94,005 payout after a shade over 11-hours of intense poker action. Our champion defeated \u201cgob_b\u201d<\/strong> heads-up for the title to resign the runner-up to a $67,264 consolation prize.<\/p>\n

All but one of the eight finalists walked away with a five-figure prize. \u201cBRAER_71RUS\u201d<\/strong> being that player; they won $6,947.<\/p>\n

\u201cCHIARA FERRAGNI\u201d<\/strong> ($10,365), \u201cHajMat\u201d<\/strong> ($14,776) and \u201cKKGMHELL67\u201d<\/strong> ($20,951) all fell by the wayside. \u201cRichHomePK_\u201d<\/strong> ($29,552) followed suit before \u201cNoragami\u201d<\/strong> ($44,163) become the penultimate elimination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

POWERFEST #74-HR: $400K Gtd 8-Max PKO<\/h2>\n

\u201cQuantum_Leap\u201d<\/strong> will remember POWERFEST #74-HR: $400K Gtd 8-Max PKO<\/strong> fondly thanks to being the last player standing from the 249 entrants. Each of those players exchanged $2,100 for the chance to become a POWERFEST champion, only Quantum_Leap managed to achieve that goal.<\/p>\n

First place was worth $40,144 but thanks to the PKO format, the champion also won $80,685 worth of bounties for a total prize worth $120,829. Part of that huge bounty was on the head of runner-up \u201cBuddyRW\u201d<\/strong> who fell in second-place for a combined prize worth $41,144.<\/p>\n

With bounty payments included, everyone at the final table netted five-figures, going to show how lucrative PKO tournaments are at partypoker.<\/p>\n

We have to give a special mention to \u201cattitydsproblem\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cAchipindal\u201d<\/strong> who fell in fifth and fourth-place. They must have bee playing super aggressively before the former won $15,274 scalps and the latter $12,129! attitydsproblem actually won more from the bounty prize pool than the main one!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
