More than 30 partypoker players claimed titles and although no members of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/index\">Team partypoker<\/a> triumphed in an event, Joao Simao came agonisingly close.<\/p>\n<h2>POWERFEST #02-H: $100K Gtd 8-Max<\/h2>\n<p>$100,000 was guaranteed in the <strong>POWERFEST #02-H: $100K Gtd 8-Max<\/strong> but a field of 2,100 players buying in for $109 created a $210,000 prize pool.<\/p>\n<p>Each of the eight finalists guaranteed themselves $2,257, the sum collected by \u201c<strong>Arizer\u201d<\/strong> when they became the first casualty of the final table.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cTheDrino\u201d<\/strong> and <strong>\u201cMrEsprectro..\u201d<\/strong> were the next to fall and they were joined on the rail by <strong>\u201cmaxsuwillans\u201d<\/strong> and <strong>\u201cSemen Suarez\u201d<\/strong>, the latter banking the first five-figure prize of the tournament, namely $10,605.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cCAPN_Crunch\u201d<\/strong> busted in third for a $15,960. This left <strong>\u201ciRolledlow\u201d<\/strong> and Team partypoker\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/joao-simao\"><strong>Joao \u201cXjoaosimaoX\u201d Simao<\/strong><\/a> to fight it out heads-up for the title.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately for our hero, Simao couldn\u2019t get the job done and fell short of yet another POWERFEST victory. This was made up with $11,550 worth of bounties. Only the champion and runner-up helped themselves to more scalps.<\/p>\n<p>High stakes specialist <strong>\u201cJunglemandan\u201d<\/strong> fell in fourth for $10,421 plus $4,068. He was joined on the rail by <strong>\u201cCarnotaurus\u201d<\/strong> who banked $14,292 and an additional $9,450 from the bounty prize pool.<\/p>\n<p>Heads-up saw <strong>\u201cRaul33\u201d<\/strong> and <strong>\u201cCaptainThug\u201d<\/strong> lock horns in a fight for the giant bounty payment. Despite having thug in their name, CaptainThug lost the fight and finish in second-place. This created a $412,050 prize pool that was divided up half among the top 32 finishers and half on the heads of each entrant.<\/p>\n<p>Team partypoker pro <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/jeff-gross\"><strong>Jeff \u201cJeffGross\u201d Gross<\/strong><\/a> fell in 23rd place with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/ludovic-geilich\"><strong>Ludovic \u201cGr4vyBo4t\u201d Geilich<\/strong><\/a> busting in 14th.<\/p>\n<p>Patrick \u201cPatrick_Leonard\u201d Leonard burst the final table bubble when he was eliminated in ninth-place, but not before scooping a combined $5,939.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cMrDatt\u201d<\/strong>, <strong>\u201cTheNuts21\u201d<\/strong> and <strong>\u201cStrawberryGirl\u201d<\/strong> all hit the showers in quick succession. <strong>\u201cJunglemandan\u201d<\/strong> joined them after he ran out of luck in fifth-place. Junglemandan excels in these high stakes events having previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/junglemandan-wins-million-big-game.html\"><strong>won the Big Game and partypoker MILLION on the same day<\/strong><\/a>!
