King\u2019s Resort<\/strong> in Rozvadov, Czech Republic is as busy as ever as the WPT Germany<\/strong> festival is in town. The eyes of the poker world are fixated on the WPT Germany Main Event right now, but they were focussed on the Opener and High Roller events.<\/p>\n

The Opener kicked off the WPT Germany festival in style. A bumper field of 1,158-players bought in for \u20ac550 and it was Lithuania\u2019s Ricardas Vymeris<\/strong> who outlasted them all.<\/p>\n

Some talented players navigated their way to the money including Martin Mulsow<\/strong>, Jonas Lauck<\/strong>, and local player Tomas Fara<\/strong>. Czech star Vojtech Ruzicka<\/strong> also showed a return on his investment.<\/p>\n

Although Maximilian Eberhardt<\/strong> received \u20ac3,200 for his 21st place finish, he missed out on a free \u20ac3,300 WPT Germany Main Event seat. The top 20 finishers won this ticket in addition to their prize money, making this event even better value.<\/p>\n

All but three of the nine finalists walked away with a five-figure prize. Damian Siewert<\/strong>, Slobodan Lekic<\/strong> and Ernst Huber<\/strong> falling in positions ninth through seventh.<\/p>\n

Milan Simko<\/strong> ran out of steam in sixth-place for \u20ac12,000 with Dominik Nissen<\/strong> collecting \u20ac17,000 for his fifth-place exit.<\/p>\n

Henry Kilbane<\/strong> of the United Kingdom saw his impressive run end in fourth-place. That was good for a \u20ac24,000 addition to his bankroll. Then Joeri Moerman<\/strong> busted in third-place for \u20ac33,000, which sent the WPT Opener to heads-up.<\/p>\n

The final battle pitted Vymeris against Ashot Oganesian<\/strong> for the lion\u2019s share of the prize pool. It was the former who came out on top to secure \u20ac79,000 plus a WPT Germany Main Event seat. Oganesian had to console himself with the \u20ac45,250 runner-up prize, still a very healthy score.<\/p>\n

Zanasi\u2019s Impressive King\u2019s Form Bag Him a Title<\/h2>\n

The \u20ac5,300 WPT Germany High Roller<\/strong> was contested by 31 players who made seven re-entries between them. This compact field meant only the top five finishers received a slice of the \u20ac180,500 pie.<\/p>\n

Sirzat Hissou<\/strong> was the first High Roller to collect come prize money. He fell in fifth-place for a \u20ac15,000 score. Hissou won \u20ac90,380 at King\u2019s Resort in December 2019 and finished 11th in the $10,300 MILLIONS UK High Roller<\/strong> in January 2020 for $25,000.<\/p>\n

Fourth-place and \u20ac22,000 went to Italy\u2019s Loris Fidanzia<\/strong>. This is only the second recorded live cash for Fidanzia, the other being a \u20ac49,440 score from the 2019 WSOP Europe festival.<\/p>\n

A German player wishing to call themselves \u201cDr. Prof\u201d<\/strong> was the next grinder to fall by the wayside. The doctor found themselves on life support and couldn\u2019t revive their fortunes.<\/p>\n

The doctor\u2019s exit left Renato Nowak<\/strong> and Massimiliano Zanasi<\/strong> heads-up for the title. Nowak, who finished third in the 2019 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Germany Super High Roller<\/strong> for \u20ac175,000, fell at the final hurdle. This second-place exit saw him collect \u20ac45,500.<\/p>\n

Zanasi was the last man standing and was awarded \u20ac66,000. Three of his last four cashes have been for at least \u20ac65,000. All three of those results stem from playing at King\u2019s Resort.<\/p>\n
