Nomura excels in our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/ko-series\"><strong>KO Series<\/strong><\/a> events and is the first Team partypoker player to win an event this festival.<\/p>\n<p>Teammate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/2020-ko-series-patrick-leonard.html\"><strong>Patrick Leonard<\/strong> enjoyed two final tables<\/a> during the festival\u2019s opening week. This ample crowd ensured the $20,000 guarantee was blown out of the water as $32,548 was up for grabs.<\/p>\n<p>Our popular member of Team partypoker was the last player standing and banked a combined $7,858 for his $215 investment. Nomura sent <strong>\u201cStrongBow\u201d<\/strong> to the rail in second-place, resigning them to a $3,976 haul.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cattitydsproblem\u201d<\/strong> was the final table\u2019s first casualty, busting in sixth-place. The aptly named <strong>\u201cPLO-POT-POT-POT\u201d<\/strong> fell next with <strong>\u201cTheMightyThomas\u201d<\/strong> claiming fourth spot.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cBrty\u201d<\/strong> crashed out in third for $3,247, setting up a one-on-one battle for Normua. The Team partypoker Pro came out unscathed and as a worthy champion.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after his victory, Nomura said, &#8220;Really happy to win my second KO SERIES title, and this time in a PLO Event. Will keep grinding to win more!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Nomura showed his PLO prowess by also finishing fourth in the $320 buy-in <strong>KO Series #22-H: $30K Gtd 6-Max<\/strong> for a combined prize weighing in at $3,189. The Welsh Wizard finished in second-place in the <strong>KO Series #21-SHR: $200K Gtd 8-Max<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Amazingly, Romanello didn\u2019t pick up a single bounty on his way to being the bridesmaid. This meant his entire $19,371 score came from the main prize pool.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cBaBaDeBaBa\u201d<\/strong> was the only player to outlast our hero. The player with a musical beat name won $19,392 plus $36,241 worth of bounties. Bicknell ran out of steam at the final hurdle of the <strong>KO Series #20-HR: $100K Gtd 8-Max<\/strong>. The $16,194 Bicknell won went some way to softening the blow of not winning.<\/p>\n<p>Belgian star <strong>Kenny \u201cSpaceyFCB\u201d Hallaert<\/strong> was the eventual victor, banking an impressive $31,803 in total. Hallaert\u2019s prize had $19,654 worth of bounties thanks in part to the Team partypoker pro\u2019s second-place exit.<\/p>\n<p>We also have to give honourable mentions to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/anatoly-filatov\"><strong>Anatoly \u201cNL_Profit\u201d Filatov<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/jeff-gross\"><strong>Jeff \u201cJeffGross\u201d Gross<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Filatov won $6,629 for his sixth-place finish in the <strong>KO Series #40-SHR: $150K Gtd Mix-Max 8-6<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Gross saw his run in the <strong>KO Series #27-HR: $20K Gtd 6-Max PLO<\/strong> end in second-place.
