Team partypoker\u2019s Kristen \u201cKrissyb24\u201d Bicknell<\/strong> has again been crowned the Global Poker Index (GPI) Female Player of the Year<\/strong><\/a>. This is the second consecutive year that Bicknell has won the award and everyone at partypoker is delighted with her latest accolade.<\/p>\n

Bicknell enjoyed a fruitful year during 2018, cashing for a total of $1,095,611. Our Canadian superstar achieved this by winning one event, finishing in the top 10 seven times and cashing in 28 different tournaments. Bicknell ended the year ranked 26th in the world by the GPI and now has $2,315,526 in live poker tournament cashes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Five cashes at the 2018 Aussie Millions<\/strong> in Melbourne got Bicknell\u2019s year off to a flying start before she navigated her way to her first top 10 finish of 2018 when she finished 10th in the $1,100 partypoker LIVE Latin American Poker Championship Main Event<\/strong> for $9,000.<\/p>\n

That result was followed up by an impressive victory in the HK$80,000 APPT High Roller<\/strong> event in Macau that secured a HK$2,192,000 first-place prize, or approximately $195,000. Bicknell also finished fourth in a HK$100,000 buy-in High Roller<\/strong> at the same festival for an additional HK$1,523,000.<\/p>\n

Big High Roller Cashes<\/h2>\n

A trip to Barcelona for the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Grand Final<\/strong><\/a> saw Bicknell bank \u20ac60,000 by finishing eighth in the \u20ac25,500 Super High Roller<\/strong> and \u20ac25,000 for her 23rd place finish in the \u20ac10,300 High Roller<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Her biggest score of 2018 came in June when, in the middle of seven cashes at the World Series of Poker, Bicknell was the runner-up in the $5,000 No Limit Hold\u2019em<\/strong> event at the Venetian for $200,000. The only player to outlast Bicknell was her boyfriend William Foxen<\/strong> who, incidentally, was crowned the GPI Player of the Year for 2018<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Another impressive result came at the Playground Poker Club<\/strong> in Bicknell\u2019s home country of Canada. Bicknell finished fourth in the CAD$2,200 High Roller<\/strong> event at the WSOP Circuit Playground<\/strong> festival for CAD$36,220 and followed that up with a deep run in the \u00a35,300 partypoker live MILLIONS Dusk Till Dawn<\/strong> in the United Kingdom (18th for \u00a330,0000 and a sixth-place finish in the CAD$10,300 partypoker WPT Montreal High Roller<\/strong> for CAD$48,000.<\/p>\n

Bicknell\u2019s last cash of 2018 was a 72nd place finish, from 1,001 entrants, in the $10,400 buy-in WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic<\/strong> at the Bellagio in Las Vegas that locked up a $25,886 score.<\/p>\n
