We recently reintroduced freezeout tournaments<\/strong> to our Power Series schedule and approximately 95 percent of all our tournaments are now freezeouts, meaning once you bust from an event it is game over!<\/p>\n

The new format didn\u2019t bother Finnish star Samuel \u201cJHelppi\u201d Vousden<\/strong> as he marched on to victory in the $2,600 Sunday Super High Roller: $100K Gtd<\/strong> tournament on December 16th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

A field of 58-entrants created a $145,000 prize pool that was shared among those reaching the eight-handed final table.<\/p>\n

Netherlands\u2019 \u201cIluvia71\u201d<\/strong> was the first player to cash. Both Iluvia and \u201cgeorge15mcd\u201d banked $6,887 for their $2,600 investment.<\/p>\n

Sixth-place and $7,975 went to \u201cZ0mbiegirl\u201d<\/strong> of Russia and their elimination guaranteed a five-figure score for the surviving five players. Austria\u2019s \u201cmadgenius87\u201d<\/strong> was the first player to net five-figures, namely $10,150 for their fifth-place finish and they were joined on the rail by \u201cSpecter_Litt\u201d<\/strong> and \u201caddhuSK\u201d<\/strong> who netted a cool $13,050 and $21,025.<\/p>\n

This left Vousden and \u201cj2805667\u201d<\/strong> to lock horns heads-up for the title, the latter having finished fifth in the partypoker MILLIONS Online<\/strong><\/a> a couple of weeks ago for a colossal $818,813 score. It was Vousden who emerged victorious to claim the $47,125 top prize for himself, leaving j2805667 to pick up the $31,900 consolation prize.<\/p>\n

Team partypoker\u2019s Patrick Leonard Reaches Sunday High Roller Final Table<\/h2>\n

Team partypoker<\/a>\u2019s Patrick \u201cPatrick_Leonard\u201d Leonard<\/strong> navigated his way to the final table of the $100,000 guaranteed Sunday High Roller<\/strong> but couldn\u2019t quite get the job done to bring home the gold medal.<\/p>\n

Leonard busted in seventh-place in this tournament to lock up $4,040 for his $1,050 investment. Leonard was joined at the final table by two other players from the United Kingdom. The player known as \u201cspinner2255\u201d<\/strong> fell in sixth-place for $5,050 with \u201cBelowAvgGreg\u201d<\/strong> netting $12,625 by finishing in third-place, one place deeper than the Swedish elite grinder Simon \u201cHellmuthTheGr8\u201d Mattsson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

BelowAvgGreg\u2019s exit left \u201cuNORTH0doX\u201d<\/strong> of Canada to take on Brazil\u2019s \u201cwhresmymind\u201d<\/strong> heads-up for the title. The final duo struck a deal that saw uNORTH0doX walk away with $20,712 and whresmymind $21,707.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
