Online poker\u2019s biggest-ever single tournament continued on November 29th with MILLIONS Online Day 1B<\/strong>, the second of five starting flights. A total of 484 entries were processed by the time late registration had closed, taking the total attendance so far to 2,058.<\/p>\n

Seventy-three of the 484 hopefuls punched their tickets for Day 2, which takes place at at 20:00 CET on Tuesday 4th December.<\/p>\n

Argentina\u2019s \u201cpatrondelmal\u201d<\/strong> is the player who excelled the most on Day 1B, turning their 1,000,000 starting stack into a flight-leading 21,904,963. The Argentinian pipped New Zealand\u2019s \u201cBeezneez360\u201d<\/strong> to the chip lead with Beezneez360 bagging up an impressive 21,808,451 stack at the end of the 20th level.<\/p>\n

These monster-sized stacks place patrondelmal and Beezneez360 fourth and fifth in chips overall, with Team partypoker\u2019s Philipp \u201cPhil_Gruissem\u201d Gruissem<\/strong><\/a> still leading the way courtesy of amassing 26,865,379 chips on last Sunday\u2019s Day 1A.<\/p>\n

Also safely through to Day 2 is Canada\u2019s Troy \u201cgood player\u201d Quenneville<\/strong><\/a>, who you may recall won the $2,500 partypoker Million at the 2016 partypoker WPT Caribbean in Punta Cana for $400,000 in 2016. Quenneville has done his chances of securing a $2.5 million prize in this event no harm after finishing Day 1B with 15,442,304 chips.<\/p>\n

Slightly further down the chip counts is another Canadian in the shape of Shyam \u201cS_dot111\u201d Srinivasan<\/strong> on 13,678,675 chips, enough for fifth-place on the night. Srivivasan has been hugely successful in online poker tournaments during a long and illustrious career and has more than $9.6 million in online winnings, a figure he hopes to boost by $2.5 million by taking down MILLIONS Online.<\/p>\n

Solid MILLIONS Online Day 1B Performances<\/h2>\n

Some of the other big-name players progressing from Day 1B include Swedish superstar Niklas \u201cDrulitooo\u201d Astedt<\/strong> (9,684,050) who is currently ranked first in the world by PocketFives.<\/a><\/p>\n

Two members of Team partypoker<\/strong><\/a> navigated their way through the shark-infested waters of MILLIONS Online Day 1B. The legendary Sam \u201cSamTrickett\u201d Trickett<\/strong><\/a> fared the best, finishing with 5,576,388 chips, good enough for 35th place. Dzmitry \u201cDzmitry_Urbanov\u201d Urbanovich<\/strong> joins Trickett on Day 2 and starts with 2,432,447 chips unless he fires another bullet and tries to bolster his Day 2 stack.<\/p>\n

MILLIONS Online Day 1B didn\u2019t exactly go to plan for seven other Team partypoker members as the were eliminated before the flight ended. Joni \u201cJJouhki\u201d Jouhkimainen<\/strong><\/a>, Roberto \u201cWelshWizard\u201d Romanello<\/strong><\/a>, Jason \u201cJason_Koon\u201d Koon<\/strong><\/a>, Kristen \u201ckrissyb24\u201d Bicknell<\/strong>, Ludovic \u201cGr4vyBo4t\u201d Geilich<\/strong><\/a>, Patrick \u201cPatrick_Leonard\u201d Leonard<\/strong><\/a> and Renato \u201crenatonomura\u201d Nomura<\/strong><\/a> all failed to progress to Day 2 but will almost certainly be taking another bite at the cherry during the upcoming Day 1s.<\/p>\n

Remaining MILLIONS Online Starting Flights<\/h2>\n

Three more starting flights are available for the $20 million guaranteed MILLIONS Online<\/strong> event. Players are permitted to play in as many Day 1s as they wish but can only take their largest stack through to Day 2 should they progress more than once. Each flight allows two re-entries, too.<\/p>\n
