Wow! November 25th, 2018 will be a day to remember as Day 1A of the $20 million guaranteed MILLIONS Online<\/strong> kicked off and became partypoker\u2019s biggest-ever starting flight across its online and live events.<\/p>\n

Some 1,574 entries were processed by the time late registration slammed shut, meaning a staggering $7,870,000 of the $20 million guaranteed prize pool was collected on Day 1A alone. Of those 1,574 starters, 230 punched their tickets for Day 2 on December 2nd with nobody bagging up more chips than Philipp \u201cPhil_Gruissem\u201d Gruissem<\/strong><\/a> of Team partypoker fame.<\/p>\n

Gruissem finished Day 1A of MILLIONS Online with a tournament-leading stack of 26,865,379 chips and now enjoys a lead of more than 2.7 million chips over Finland\u2019s \u201chi_all\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Three other members of Team partypoker also progressed to Day 2 at the first attempt. Anatoly \u201cNL_Profit\u201d Filatov<\/strong><\/a>, the MILLIONS Russia Main Event champion<\/strong><\/a>, bagged an 8,041,113 stack, Josip \u201cJozinhoPP\u201d Simunic<\/strong><\/a> ended the night with 4,786,977 chips, while Joao \u201cjoaosimaobh\u201d Simao<\/strong><\/a> goes into Day 2 armed with 4,011,108 chips.<\/p>\n

Each of the players who bagged up a top 10 stack did so with more than 15 million chips. The United Kingdom has four players in the top 10, including Chris \u201cTherealmoorm\u201d Moorman<\/strong> on 15,374,484 chips, enough for 10th place. Nobody has won more from online poker tournaments than Moorman and he is now on course for a $2.5 million haul.<\/p>\n

Also bagging up an impressive stack was the United Kingdom\u2019s \u201cSandwichBacon\u201d<\/strong> who finished in third-place in last year\u2019s $5 million guaranteed MILLIONS Online<\/strong><\/a> for $435,448. SandwichBacon is through to Day 2 with a 14,702,892 stack, enough for 12th place on the overnight leaderboard.<\/p>\n

Plenty of established professionals were among the 230 players who survived Day 1A. These included Canada\u2019s \u201cTIMEXCNT\u201d<\/strong>, \u201ckashmir_uzi\u201d<\/strong>, \u201cuNORTH0doX\u201d<\/strong>, \u201cMechaCorta\u201d<\/strong>, the legendary Viktor \u201cIsildur1\u201d Blom<\/strong>, Robin \u201cpetdet3ctive\u201d Ylitalo<\/strong>, and \u201cFkTheseGuysBro\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Four more starting flights are available for the $20 million guaranteed MILLIONS Online event. Players are permitted to play in as many Day 1s as they wish but can only take their largest stack through to Day 2 should they progress more than once.
