The $3.4 million guaranteed Monster Series<\/strong> ended on November 4th and it was a day to remember for Russia\u2019s Batraz \u201cbatraztigiev\u201d Tigiev<\/strong> because he managed to take full advantage of the Monster Value<\/strong> promotion.<\/p>\n

Monster Value was a promotion that saw us add more than $9,000 worth of MILLONS Online tickets<\/strong> to the prize pool of the Monster #66-H: $200K Gtd [8-Max, PKO]<\/strong> event. In short, everyone who finished in positions second-through-eighth won a $530 MILLIONS Online satellite ticket in addition to their prize money and bounty payments, with the eventual champion walking away with a $5,300 MILLIONS Online seat.<\/p>\n

Tigiev Sets His Sights on Victory<\/h1>\n

Tigiev, a former football journalist, has been playing poker<\/a> for 11 years and was one of 5,955 entrants in the $200,000 guarantee event. After sailing into the top 792 places where the prize money was awarded, Tigiev set his sights on taking down the entire tournament.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince the middle part of the tournament I was looking at top two places and wanted to get it,\u201d said Tigiev.<\/p>\n

It was \u201cCPessagno\u201d<\/strong> who busted in ninth-place to set the final table, which had the added value of MILLIONS Online<\/a> tickets.<\/p>\n

\u201cCheckkk\u201d<\/strong> fell in eighth-place and was joined on the sidelines by \u201cLeviscarlos\u201d<\/strong>, \u201cBRENT_DARBY\u201d<\/strong>, \u201ccoserhan10\u201d<\/strong>, \u201cnsmirnov\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cmacaboca\u201d<\/strong> the latter\u2019s exit leaving only Tigiev and \u201cIneedRunnAA\u201d<\/strong> in the tournament.<\/p>\n

A Massive Prize for a $33 Buy-in<\/h2>\n

The heads-up battle saw Tigiev claim his 16th bounty of the evening when he sent IneedRunnAA to the rail in second-place. This meant Tigiev walked away with $6,194.73 worth of bounty payments in addition to the $15,463.70 first-place prize, for a combined score of $21,658.43<\/strong> plus a $5,300 seat to the $20 million guaranteed MILLIONS Online<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

\u201cI was very happy and woke up my wife in the morning after I took the first place,\u201d said Tigiev, \u201cThis money came at the time we can really use it. My wife is expecting a baby any day now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amazingly, Tigiev initially didn\u2019t realise he was playing for a MILLIONS Online seat but after checking the partypoker LIVE site soon realised that he would now be playing for a share of a guaranteed $20 million and have the chance to become one of four partypoker players who will become millionaires in this event.<\/p>\n
