$69m awarded throughout partypoker\u2019s largest festival to date<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The latest installment in partypoker\u2019s flagship POWERFEST<\/strong> series concluded this past Sunday, 23 September, to sign off the site\u2019s largest online festival to date.<\/p>\n

Across the course of the 22-day series, more than $69 million in prize money was awarded over 669 events, with 20 Championship Event winners crowned and 21 players banking combined six-figure scores. Overall POWEFEST drew a combined 946,000 entrants as the series continues to prove its appeal across players of all tastes and bankrolls.<\/p>\n

Brazil cemented their place at the top of the country standings to finish the series with 105 wins to the UK\u2019s 92, with Russia claiming bronze on 80 victories.<\/p>\n

At 604, the UK made the most final table appearances over Brazil\u2019s 572 showings, narrowly pipping Russia on 570.<\/p>\n

Team partypoker\u2019s Patrick Leonard<\/strong> enjoyed a fruitful series, celebrating a duo of victories in events \u201c#042-HR: $200K Gtd [6-Max PKO]<\/a>\u201d<\/strong> & \u201c#083-HR: $300K Gtd [6-Max PKO]<\/a>\u201d<\/strong> for a total $110,865, while Leonard\u2019s compatriot, Kristen Bicknell<\/strong><\/a> helped herself to a title in \u201c#136-H: $150K Gtd [PKO],\u201d<\/strong> worth $21,898.<\/p>\n

The UK\u2019s \u2018Paul_Folders\u2019<\/strong> stands alone as the only player with a quintet of wins to their name, yielding a handsome $241,645.18 for the remarkable showing.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere High-Roller specialist, Steve O\u2019Dwyer<\/strong><\/a> added another title to his glittering CV as he took down the $3 million GTD Super High Roller<\/strong> for $896,610 \u2013 making him comfortably the series biggest winner. Jason Koon<\/strong><\/a> of Team partypoker played his way to an eighth place finish in the same event, for a $117,000 score.<\/p>\n

The final day, September 23rd proved a milestone in partypoker\u2019s continued resurgence, as a collective 34,379 players converged on the site to make it the biggest day in recent history.<\/p>\n

Attentions now turn to November\u2019s ground-breaking $20 million GTD MILLIONS Online<\/strong><\/a>, officially the single largest online tournament in online poker history.<\/p>\n
