The top 119 players were paid out, with such luminaries as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/maria-lampropulos-wins-the-millions-main-event-for-1-million.html\"><strong>Maria Lampropulos<\/strong><\/a> (103rd for \u00a33,000), <strong>Keith Johnson<\/strong> (89th for \u00a33,000), <strong>Tom Ward<\/strong> (72nd for \u00a34,000), <strong>Chris Brammer<\/strong> (59th for \u00a34,000), <strong>David Vamplew<\/strong> (51st fr \u00a34,750), MILLION Germany Super High Roller champion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/michael-chi-zhang-takes-e50000-super-high-roller.html\"><strong>Michael Chi Zhang<\/strong><\/a> (26th for \u00a35,500), <strong>Jamie O\u2019Connor<\/strong> (20th for \u00a37,500), <strong>Chris Sly<\/strong> (19th for \u00a37,500), <strong>Ben Vinson<\/strong> (17th for \u00a37,500) and <strong>Manig Loeser<\/strong> (16th for \u00a38,500) receiving a payout for their efforts.<\/p>\n<p>The official eight-handed final table was set when <strong>Steve Morris<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/steven-morris-crowned-uk-poker-championship-shr-champion.html\">winner of the Super High Roller event<\/a> earlier in the week, sent <strong>Dan Charlton<\/strong> to the rail in ninth-place, a finish worth \u00a312,500.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_63239\" style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-63239\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-63239\" src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/39766580634_d17fa647a9_z-600x401.jpg\" alt=\"Dan Charlton: Ninth-place finisher\" width=\"600\" height=\"401\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/39766580634_d17fa647a9_z-300x201@2x.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/39766580634_d17fa647a9_z-300x201.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/39766580634_d17fa647a9_z.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-63239\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dan Charlton: Ninth-place finisher<\/p><\/div>\n<p>It took 38 hands before the first elimination of the final table occurred and it was <strong>Ryan Mandara<\/strong> who became the eighth-place finisher. Mandara three-bet shoved over a <strong>Daniel Clark<\/strong> raise with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ac.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ah.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> and Clark called with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/9c.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/9d.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\">. Mandara stayed well ahead on the flop and turn, but the nine of hearts on the river ended his tournament prematurely.<\/p>\n<p>Ext to fall was <strong>Andreas Olympios<\/strong> who moved all in from the cutoff for around 11 big blinds with pocket fours and was called by <strong>Thomas Hemming<\/strong> in the small blind who held a pair of aces. The five community cards failed to come to Olympios\u2019 rescue and the remaining players all gained some more elbow room.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daniel Morgan<\/strong> had been among the chipleaders through the tournament, although he ran out of steam towards the end. Down to approximately 13.5 big blinds, Morris open-shoved from the small blind with what turned out to be <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/as.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/6d.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> and Hemming called in the big blind with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/7d.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/7s.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\">. Morris paired his six on the flop but couldn\u2019t find any of his other outs and he headed to the cashier\u2019s cage after another impressive run.<\/p>\n<p>Fourth-place went to <strong>Ning Lu<\/strong> in something if an ill-time move. With blinds at 250,000\/500,000\/500,000a, Clark opened to 1,000,000 with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/qd.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/js.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> from under the gun, Hemming called on the button with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/tc.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/th.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> and Lu moved all-in for 15,000,000 with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/4d.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/4h.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\">. Clark got out of the way and Hemming called. Hemming improved to a set on the flop of the <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ad.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ts.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kd.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/2h.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/5s.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> board to leave only three players in the hunt for the \u00a3187,500 top prize.<\/p>\n<p>Hemming became the third-place finisher when he lost a flip with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ah.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/tc.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> against the <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/2s.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/2d.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> of Clark and that took the tournament to the heads-up stage where Brice held a 67,275,000 to 40,450,000 chip lead over Clark.<\/p>\n<p>Brice never relinquished his lead and it was a real cooler of a hand that concluded the tournament. Clark opened to three-times the big blind, making it 1,800,000 to go with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/as.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ks.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\">. Brice three-bet to 7,700,000 with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kc.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kh.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> and then snap-called when Clark four-bet all-in for 35,000,000. The <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/th.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/9s.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/3h.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> flop was no help to Clark. Neither was the <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/jh.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> turn although it gave him a few outs to a straight.
