Some 118 players turned out for the $2,100 buy-in POWERFEST #24-H: $150K Gtd NL Hold\u2019em<\/strong>, meaning the $150,000 guaranteed was blown to pieces. The $236,000 prize pool was shared among the top 16 finishers, with a min-cash weighing in at $4,720 and a final table appearance being worth $7,670.<\/p>\n

By the time our very own Joao \u201cjoaosimaobh\u201d Simao<\/strong><\/a> bust in fourth place, the prize money had increased to $20,650. With Simao out of the running for the victory, Filatov took it upon himself to fly the partypoker flag.<\/p>\n

\u201cdbec077\u201d<\/strong> bust in third-place to put Filatov heads-up with \u201cSanityWaterline,\u201d<\/strong> who has been in scintillating form at partypoker of late. That form counted for nothing as our hero sent him to the rail in second-place and he became a POWERFEST champion, one with a $57,820 prize to his name.<\/p>\n

The biggest prize of the weekend came from the $5,200 buy-in POWERFEST #26-H: $500K Gtd NL Hold\u2019em<\/strong> event. A $510,000 prize pool was created when 102 entries were processed. Team partypoker\u2019s Louise \u201clou045\u201d Butler<\/strong><\/a> made it into the money place, finishing 16th for $10,200 while Simon \u201cSimon_Trumper\u201d Trumper<\/strong> bust in 11th place for a $12,750 score.<\/p>\n

By the time the tournament progressed to heads-up, the final two players struck a deal for the remaining prize pool, so when \u201cPhileasFogg\u201d<\/strong> fell in second-place he collected $103,380 and \u201caLiNeNok1617\u201d<\/strong> walked away with the title of champion and $110,819.<\/p>\n
